1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Rear cam plug question
September 25, 2020, 12:45:58 PM
I had an oil leak at the rear cam plug, then installed a new cam plug with sealant and it still is leaking, see pics.

My engine builder used a 2 5/32 inch plug, wondering if it is the wrong size.

Thanks in advance.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Pink resistor wire question
August 08, 2020, 05:23:34 PM
On my 67 Mustang GT equipped with a tachometer, was wondering what someone was trying to do here, see pic ? I have been trying to isolate a problem why my car will stop running for no apparent reason. I was following the pink resistance wire from the connection at the back of the tach over to the driver kick panel area, noticed what appears to be the pink wire cut and someone stripped back the wiring then added the orange wire with female connector plugged into the resistance wire from the tachometer. I am running a Pertronix with 12 V going to the distributor with a jumper harness in between the ignition switch and tachometer input. I appreciate the help.

When I purchased my car the intake was missing. Wondering how the tilt away column received its vacuum source at the back of the intake manifold, is there a specific combo fitting that provided vacuum for the brake booster and tilt away?

Thanks in advance.

My 67 K-code's exhaust was removed years ago for drag racing with open headers. My original exhaust hangers are still intact and look brand new, so I would like to used them moving forward with a new dual system using the GT splitter tips. I am not doing a concours restoration, prefer not using the transverse muffler setup and would like to have something that does not look like I went to the local muffler shop with cheesy clamps/hangers. Several vendors offer dual kits, just would like some real first hand experience with what you guys run on your cars. I really like the Arvinode sound but it's my understanding that kit is not available for a 1967, please correct me if I am wrong. Will a 2 1/4" H pipe bolt up to the original HiPo manifolds?

Thanks for all the help and advice.

Would love to reach out to them to see if they can provide some history on my car. Car came from the Kansas City DSO then was in the Santa Fe, NM area and then to the DFW area of north Texas. Thanks!
