Hi guys,
My friend Roland in Sweden is looking for original linkage between the #2804 and #2805 Carburetors or some great pictures showing the original linkage with measurements for his 67 GT500 4-speed. He found the original intake and reissue of the carburetors together with bellhousing and SPEC rear axle pumpkin and some other parts from Kent in Germany.
Can anybody help him?
Thanks, Texas Swede

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / 1967 GT500 Oli Filler Tube
December 15, 2023, 07:01:53 PM
Hi guys,
Did all 1967 Shelby GT500 come with the oil filler tube inserted in a hole in the passenger side front end of the C7ZX aluminum 8-V intake manifold or were there exceptions like Thermactor equipped cars. The reason I ask is that I have seen pictures of cars with them and without them. Also seen manifolds with a plug instead of the tube,

SAAC Forum Discussion Area / Wire Harnesses in New Cars
November 19, 2023, 09:47:10 AM
A friend of mine in Plano, TX bought a new Japanese pickup truck 2 years ago. Two weeks ago, the car would not start.
It's parked on the curb outside his house. Rats had attacked the wire harnesses inside the engine compartment.
This is in suburbia and very nice neighborhood. He did some investigation and found out that cable insulation in most modern cars is made of a plant-based mixture including soy. All done in the name of saving the planet. Expensive lesson for him.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Pushrods for FE 428
November 08, 2023, 12:14:53 PM
Hi guys,
My friend Roland in Sweden is looking for specially made pushrods for his 428 FE that he is building.
This is the email from him. Can anybody help?

I have now tried to measure the length of the pushrods needed for my Ford FE 428.
It is equipped with hydraulic roller lifters and adjustable valve rockers.
The pushrods diameter should be min. 3/8" with min 0.08" walls.
The end at the lifter is:   5/16" ball.  OK
The end at the rocker is:  3/8" cup.
The length of the rods is 8.50"  (216 mm)
NOTE: The length is measured with a 5/16" cup against adjusting screw with 3/8" tip.

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / SFM 6S 1228
August 29, 2023, 11:58:55 AM
Hi guys,
Heard through the grapevine from Sweden, that the White Hertz car 6S 1228 was sold from Sweden to somebody in the USA.
I tried to buy that car in 1976 but a guy from Gothenburg, Sweden beat me to it. His name is Tommy Carlsson and it took him 30 years to restore the car. He sold it to a guy in the USA who flew to Sweden and picked it up and had it shipped over the pond.
It was featured in a Swedish Car magazine Bilsport in 2014.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / 67 GT500 Radiator Fan
October 24, 2022, 09:52:10 AM
Hi guys,
What part number should a radiator fan have, for a no air and no thermactor car and how many blades, 6 or 7?
Is there a marking on the fan itself? Is there a difference if the car is equipped with thermactor.
Thanks, Texas Swede

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / 67 4-speed shifter
September 06, 2022, 09:42:53 AM
A question for you guys,
My friend in Sweden and owner of a 67 GT500 wants to know if the shifter and lever are the same for
a GT350 and GT500. The rods are different, and he found the correct ones in Sweden. He also bought
a RUG-S and it turned out to be from a 67 GT500. Talk about being lucky.

Hi guys,
Currently there are two auctions on Ebay for 65/66 Pitman and Idler arms. These are presented as being assembly line
parts and priced accordingly. I have checked these out and believe they are very early reproductions.
In fact, I used to own an idler arm just like it. Bought it from a vendor's catalog. Many years ago, I found a NOS
in the Ford box and the markings match the one on my original Pitman arm. Later on, I found another original Pitman arm
which I have as a spare.
I wrote to the seller but got no answer.

Happy New Year to Ya'll,
Some questions for you,
Do you know of any vendor who sells the 67 GT500 Grill, Trunk, and Dash emblem inserts only?
Just the G.T. 500 part, not the Shelby or snake. If not available a complete kit would be fine as well.
Best quality emblems for GT500 gas cap and steering wheel?
Is Carl's Ford Parts still in business? Called and left messages but no one calls back.
Any of you have an original GT500 8V C7ZX intake manifold for sale? 2804 and or 2805 Carburetors as well?
Thanks,
Texas Swede

1965 GT350/R-Model / 3259 Carburetor Problems
August 09, 2021, 06:35:55 PM
My 513 dated 3259 carburetor is acting up. Car doesn't start if I don't pour gas directly into the carb and it just runs until
that fuel is used and then it stops. Tested the pump and it pumps fuel as well as tested if fuel is in the bowls and it is.
It seems like the accelerator lever is stuck as it doesn't move when opening the throttles. just compress the spring.
What can be wrong?  Also, does anybody have the Holley part# for the diaphragm that works with ethanol mixed gas.

The Lounge / Ebay Problem
May 12, 2021, 06:52:25 PM
Hi guys,
I need your advise. Bought a couple of NOS rubber plugs 377678-S on Ebay two days ago
and today I got the money refunded with a explanation that the seller had ran out of them.
To me that means he sold something he didn't have. However I got my money back.
Now to the question: Shall I give him bad feedback or not?

1969-1970 Boss 302/429 / Steering Gear Box
February 21, 2021, 07:08:23 PM
Hi guys,
A friend of mine in Sweden owns a 1970 Boss 302 with manual steering and he has a problem with the steering box.
Is there any difference for a Boss 302 or could he use any 16:1 box between 1967 and 1970. Shop Manual for 1970 specifies
SMB-K box. Anybody know where to find one?
