My C3 starter nose is the long one for an automatic, but I would like to replace with a correct 4 speed short nose starter. I'll take an entire starter, or just the nose cone. Thanks.

The Lounge / Shopping for a Daily Driver - What would you get?
« on: February 12, 2019, 09:57:48 AM »
I have started shopping for a daily driver. I've decided to keep my old 7.3 Super Duty instead of getting a new one, and get a coupe. I'm leaning towards an Infiniti Q60 red sport coupe. I may wait to see what the new GT 500s are going to sell for, but ADMs will probably kill it for me. Not sure I want a GT 350. Audi RS5 coupe is too expensive. A Mustang GT with track pak? I'm ok with used. Even thought about a Nissan GTR. Since we have a thread on what other car you would get besides your daily driver, I thought you could help me think about options for a daily driver, foreign or domestic....

SAAC Forum Discussion Area / Cars & Coffee Story
« on: August 23, 2018, 02:01:00 PM »
I decided to take my '65 to Cars and Coffee Austin event at the Circuit of Americas last Sunday. This is a big event with over 800 cars. However, there are few old cars there. Anyway, I was told multiple times how much someone appreciated me bringing it out, and it was the best car there. Mostly by older guys, of course. Then a young (early 20's) guy walks up and says what a great car and he has one too. Ya right....Turns out his dad bought him a '65 Shelby for his 18th birthday. He does not drive it and keeps it in a vault that is for car storage. He showed me pictures. Rear battery, early car that he says was CS's car. He did not know the serial number, but invited me over to see the car and help him learn about it. Small world. And I thought I had the only one in town lol. There was a Ferrari F40 and Saleen S7 there, along with numerous of Ferrari's, Lambo's, and McLaren's. This was a great event!

SAAC Forum Discussion Area / Fuel and Temp Gauges Quit - 1965
« on: August 04, 2018, 02:48:38 PM »
Went for a drive today and neither the fuel or temp gauges worked. Is there a resistor on the rear of the instrument cluster housing that has probably gone out? I know there is a part on the rear just don't know what it controls. Thanks.
