This may be old news to some. My apologies, if so. Good footage for all us old guys from the early days of Shelby American.

SAAC-47 / SAAC 47 Track Map with SAAC Designations
June 10, 2022, 08:07:35 PM
Has anyone seen/received a map of the Indianapolis Speedway with indicators for SAAC track entry, registration, parking, etc.?
These have always been very helpful in the past.

Hi Howard,
I have a friend who is installing a new Shelby-style steering wheel on his '65 Mustang fastback. It is not a "Shelby clone" or replica, just a
nice driver. He wants to install a toggle switch for the horn, like the '65 Shelby. Do you have any suggestions where he can find information
on routing wiring, where to tap into existing, color of wires, etc.?
Thanks,
Tom Honegger

The Lounge / Wiring for '65 GT 350 horn toggle switch
February 09, 2022, 07:52:42 PM
I'm looking for information on how to wire a dash mounted toggle switch for a '65 Mustang (not a clone/replica).
Want to install and wire like the '65 GT 350's were done. Wire routing, connection, wire color, where to tap into existing horn wiring, etc.
Thanks for any help!

Parts For Sale / Michelin Summer Only Tires
April 08, 2021, 11:41:41 AM
I have the tires that came on my 2019 Mustang GT PP1 for sale. They are Michelin Pilot Sport 4s, sizes: 255/40ZR 19 (front) and 275/40 ZR 19 (rear).
I bought the car new, have 4100 miles on the tires, no track days or extreme use. Like new condition. I switched to an all-season tire for vacation drive to Florida in March. One tire had a small nail hole repaired professionally and
have driven 1500+ miles since then, no problems.
$450 plus shipping or come and get 'em. Selling as set only.
PM if interested.

I've always enjoyed reading and seeing photos of the classic Cobras and Shelbys on road trips. The two gentlemen from Australia that chronicled their travels in the Shelby American, driving a '67 GT 350 was great reading. Most recently the articles about the Hertz car and the wild road rallies were of great interest to me. Of course the annual GT 350 road trip and the group of original Cobras and their adventures is good stuff. I thought maybe SAAC owners would enjoy reading about some "grassroots" road trips from members. Do you have pictures and stories of any experiences with your car that you can share? There's still some long winter days till some of us can get our cars out!

Does anyone remember what issue the Shelby American had an extensive article
on the visit by Ford executives?

January 01, 2019, 09:41:41 PM
Anyone know what would be involved/who can do refinishing 2019 Mustang gloss black painted factory wheels?
Can they be sand/media blasted to a natural finish? Who offers services like that?

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Verifying Engine is Original
September 27, 2018, 05:12:59 PM
This may have been covered before? How do I verify that my engine (289, '67 GT 350) and transmission is what came in the car when new? I purchased the car in 1972 from original owner and as far as I know, it is the original motor & trans, but I would like to know for sure. Where do I find the numbers and how do I get them checked?
Thanks, Tom

The Lounge / Sparkplugs Inconsistent
July 20, 2018, 09:42:41 AM
Friend of my has a GT 350 clone, 302 with original Shelby Supercharger. When he pulls plugs, front 4 are black & sooty, back 4 look perfect, almost like they're new. What would cause such a difference, front to back?
Thanks, Tom

Swap Meet / Sexton Ford
July 10, 2018, 03:48:59 PM
Last year I made a stop in Moline, Illinois on vacation. My '67 GT 350 was sold new to the previous owner at Sexton Ford. Sales folks were very friendly and were kind enough to visit and give me a few goodies. I have an extra Sexton Ford license plate frame (current issue, not a collectible original) and some Sexton Ford can koozies. If anyone is interested, I'll send free, just cover whatever cost is to ship. PM or email tomsue@wcoil.com

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Front Brake Shield
May 25, 2018, 05:31:32 PM
My '67 GT 350 does not have the disc brake splash shields. I don't know if the original owner removed or if it ever had them. Did '67's normally have them? If so, who makes a decent one if I want to install?
Thanks,
Tom
