1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Radiator coolant information
« on: October 12, 2018, 09:06:00 PM »

There is a radiator coolant information sticker, starts with "IMPORTANT" that I have seen on many cars. Should this be on the radiator support of a mid to late '66 GT350 ? If so, where should it be placed on the support? Thanks for any info.

Concours Talk / Spark Plug ID tags, 1966 GT350
« on: August 30, 2018, 10:40:33 PM »
Saw for sale on eBay;

"Spark Plug Wire I.D. Tag Set (Pair) for 1966 289 Ford Motor Company Products.

Tags are located on either the #1 or #4 plug wire (Passenger Side) and on the #8 wire (Driver Side). They are placed after boot at distributor cap."

They are marked C6AF-12280G.

Never have seen these in pictures of original cars or discussed? Should these be present on a 1966 GT350? Other years offered too. Any comments appreciated.

About to weld the front mount. Does the weld run the entire perimeter of the bracket? Thanks in advance.

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Outer shock spring cover sealer ?
« on: April 23, 2018, 10:31:11 PM »
I thought I read somewhere that the bolted outer spring tower covers were not sprayed with undercoat, as the covers were bolted on after sealer applied to inner fenders/fenders, splash shields, etc... . This was apparently the procedure for San Jose cars only, but not the other plants. Anyone know, have comments? San Jose, April build date car. Thanks in advance.

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Battery warning tag
« on: April 14, 2018, 03:15:29 PM »
Does the battery warning tag (colored white & red) belong on the positive, negative post or not used at all? Have seen placed on both, but not sure what is factory. Fits better on the negative due to the tag hole size , but then you can't read from front of car. Thanks

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Tire size larger than 6.95 x 14
« on: March 27, 2018, 09:42:35 PM »
Was there any tire size considered early on for use with the 14" wheel other than the 6.95 x 14 Goodyear Blue Streak?

I came across what appears to be an advertisement for the '66 GT350 that has a rather large tire mounted on aluminum 10 spokes, appears not to be a Blue Streak, no raised letters, totally black sidewall but has a raised band running the circumference.  Wheels have Crager center caps. White car, 66 side stripes with blond standing at the "A' post, dirt road with trees in background. Can't download picture, sorry.
