1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Choke cable mounting position
December 18, 2020, 09:27:40 AM
Does anyone have a good picture of the exact position the choke cable is mounted under the dash on a 67 GT350?   Most pictures show it under the heater controls but are too far away to see what exact holes are used.

Thanks.

I have been trying to mount the tail panel and inner buckets in the 67 GT350 we are doing. May 2 build date.   The problem I'm having is the inside buckets and the tail light housings are fighting each other.  I can put the fiberglass tail panel, including lights, on first but then the inside buckets have a large gap which will not allow the rivets to reach the cars metal tail panel.  If I put the buckets on the metal tail panel first and slide the fiberglass panel (with lights) in, there is too much gap between the fiberglass panel and the metal tail panel. I won't be able to rivet the fiberglass panel to the metal tail light panel. Again the tail light housings are hitting the inner buckets.  It does not help the tail light housings are not flat on the bottom!   I thought the metal buckets should be the short ones since I have a raised panel but I'm beginning to wonder.  Pictures show what I have.  Would appreciate any guidance.

Concours Talk / 67 quarter trim panels
January 28, 2020, 01:44:47 PM
Has anybody purchased the 67 68 quarter panel trim panels from California Pony cars?  They say they are fiberglass versus the molded plastic ones everyone else sells. Wondering how they look and fit compared to nice originals that are nearly impossible to find.

Have a set of radiator side supports with stamping C9ZE-K1 and 8JA.  I believe this would be correct for a 69 GT350 without A/C.  $100 includes free shipping in the US.

I need the oil and amp lenses (jewels) located on the bottom  the tachometer for a 67 Shelby.  They stick on the back side.  They were no where to be found when our cluster was opened up.  I'm willing to buy the whole tach if needed.

Wanted to Buy / 67 Deluxe rear seat bottom upholstery
August 27, 2019, 11:37:53 AM
I need just the lower rear seat upholstery for a 67 fastback with deluxe interior.  Need it for a pattern.  My upholstery shop is making a complete set of covers using NOS materials but the lower seat cover was out of a standard interior.  Condition not too important as long as we can get measurements off it.

Wanted to Buy / 67 GT350 Fan and Spacer
May 15, 2019, 04:51:46 PM
Wanted for a 67 GT350 without AC.  Need a cooling fan with part number C6OZ-8600-D marked C6OE-D and a spacer part number C4AZ-8546-F (YA-74).  Not sure of the marking if any.  I know the spacer has a Motocraft replacement with the same part number unfortunately they have a casting of C8AE-E which would not have been found on a 1967 car.

I received a blank copy of the 2018 SAAC Judging rules for 67 Shelby and had some questions on the Exterior rules. Here is the rule:

Hood, Scoops, and Fiberglass Body Panels: Proper material and style
for year and model. Nose, end caps and tail panel - dark gray strip
caulk on early cars, clear on later. Upper and lower scoops - clear
silicone or dark gray strip caulk. Sealant must be visible around all
side scoops (top and sides only) and quarter panel end caps

First question. , it states the upper and lower side scoops and quarter end caps must have visible sealer all the way around them.  How visible?  That is just against all my instincts on exterior body panels to have nasty sealer squeezing out around them!   Does anyone have any photos of how all this is supposed to look?  Second question is concerning the color of sealer.  What is the cutoff for early versus late (gray versus clear sealer)?

Thank you.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Correct 67 comfortweave material
February 25, 2019, 07:23:04 PM
So is there any suppliers for correct 67 comfortweave seat vinyl?  I just got a "correct" sample from SMS and it is too tight of a weave.  I have attached a photo of their sample laying on top of the original.  I placed this on the lower front of the seat cover where it does not get any wear.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Seat Upholstery
January 23, 2019, 11:53:05 AM
What is the consensus for the supplier that has the best 67 Deluxe seat upholstery?   I know some use a comfortweave material that does not match the originals.  Thanks.
