Concours Talk / 289 Cobra leaf spring wrap
« on: May 20, 2020, 02:29:49 PM »
I was curious as to what is accepted as being “correct” for the color of the material wrap for the front and rear leaf springs on a 260/289 Cobra, what color are the SAAC Judges looking for when the car is being judged? There are a few different color Denso tapes being offered, would it be the green or tan color? Thanking you in advance.

I have an original spring assembly with the tape intact but I have seen restorers using the green Denso tape most often.

I am in need of two NOS or lightly used 1963 Goodyear 7.00x15 Blue Streak Sports Car Special tires for a restoration I am working on. I am also looking for one NOS or lightly used 1963 Goodyear 6.00x15 Blue Streak Sports Car Special. Thanking you in advance.

CSX 2000 Series / 260/289 Cobra shoulder belt reels??
« on: September 25, 2019, 07:11:28 PM »
Does anyone have a clue??
There were at least two small block Cobras that received shoulder belt reels as optional equipment, expensive at that, does anyone have a photo of the reel assemblies or know where the reels were sourced from? Thanking you in advance.

I thought it my be helpful to our forum members if there was a technical section or a "how to" for those looking for assistance on what parts to use or how to repair issues with our vehicles?
