1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Dyeing a 1967 GT500 Motorcraft paper air cleaner element

All;
Has anyone dyed a Motorcraft paper air cleaner element the manila color to match a  1967 GT500?
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
Can't afford the $1200.00 for a real one.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / 1968 Cobra Jet right exhaust manifold to frame clearance

To All;
Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have installed a 1968 428 engine with C80E heads , a Edelbrock 4 BBL intake and repo Cobra Jet exhaust manifolds from NPD in a 1968 Mustang convertible.
The right exhaust manifold touches the top of the frame.
Car has not been wrecked and I believe I have the correct motor mounts.
What is the standard clearance and can you advise me as to what I am doing wrong?
