Yes, all hipo blocks were cast in Cleveland. None were C6AE castings either.

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: Exhaust Tip Defector
« on: October 08, 2018, 10:04:49 AM »
These were sold years ago by a Shelby vendor. Can’t remember which one though. It’s purpose was to keep the exhaust off of the rear of the car. Had nothing to do with the fuel.

A friend from outside the Shelby world has done mechanical work on this car after it was sold at auction. I believe it was sold locally and is still in New Jersey. If you PM me I can inquire to see if it might be available.

The Ford catalog lists C7ZZ-7515-D for 289 hipo and 390 engines. 12” long. Never found out if this is an error though. I have an NOS one I’ll try and dig out.

Those are a Ford accessory part. Number ends with a “B” suffix. You want ones with a “D” at the end.

The early ‘67 350 was (and still is) mine too and was actually painted Guardsman Blue! An original factory black car #69. I bought it with hubcaps (also incorrect) and was getting a set of Magatars to put back on it.

That’s Mongo’s ‘vert and my Alcalpulco Blue ‘69 ht with a Shelby 2-4V Boss 302 motor. These were great shows back when everyone drove their cars!
