Thank you, Bob for your help.  I will give the service tank back without the drain plug back to my buddy.

On the subject of taking off undercoating, I use a heat gun and apply heat to small sections and use a plastic scraper.

Hey Bob,
Happy Friday!  My 68 has a repro gas tank with a drain plug and I was given an original Ford tank without a drain plug. Both tanks are good.  Which tank would you recommend placing in the car?
Thank you,
Chandler

The backside of the scoop and the body needs to be flat black?  What color caulking do you have between the scoop and the body?  I thought I read somewhere it should be clear.  Thank you

Thank you, Bill, for the information about Francis for Ford and the Patriot/Evening news and Turbo Stang.  I did not know about their racing history.  This will help in my search.  Great photos and stories.  Sitting in a GT350 at that age would definitely kindle my love for these cars.  Cool experience!  Thanks for sharing.

Any chance you have a Francis for Ford in Harrisburg, PA?  This is neat!
