Wanted to Buy / 65 66 Fastback passenger side upper roof rail sash metal
« on: September 30, 2022, 01:46:27 PM »
Looking for a Ford oem 65 66 passenger side upper roof rail sash. This is the piece that goes on first before the stainless steel piece that holds the weather-strip. weather-strip channel. This is the metal channel that is riveted to the roof above the door window.

I thought I found a good one but it is reproduction and does not fit correctly.

This is a revised repost.

What are people using for the rubber or butyl seal that goes on the wing window glass where it attaches to the stainless steel trim?

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Stance for 66 Shelby
« on: May 13, 2022, 09:21:07 AM »
Looking for measurements from the pinch weld to the ground in front and at the rear of the rocker. Wanting to verify factory assembled ride height with stock wheels. I do recognize that the vehicles did not leave the factory with a full tank of gas which will effect ride height. Really looking to see if there is any difference from front to rear.

If the wiper arms were taken off to paint the Hertz stripes, could the arms have been replaced with polished ones with chrome pivot?

Appeals / Re: What’s the price on 68 restored California special?
« on: April 27, 2022, 11:28:48 PM »
The 1968 California Specials were only built as hardtops or coupes. No convertible or fastbacks.
They were only built at San Jose and debuted mid year 1968. Any RPO engine available.

If a 1968 GT/CS was destined for DSO 51 (Denver), they would have come with High Country Special badging.
HCS's or High Country Specials were a 'Denver' Colorado special edition. They were sold 1966-1967 in any body style, 1968 were rebadged GT/CS's.

So if a car advertised as a GT/CS has a dso of 51 on the data plate it can't be a California Special even if it has all the CS options and California Special badging?

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / 66 Grille Finish
« on: April 22, 2022, 07:30:04 PM »
Is the '66 grille finish the same as all '66 Mustangs? (Except that the edges of the grille where the horse and corral were mounted have had the black finish removed on the leading edge to match the rest of the grille?)

Thanks.
