This post is a great example of why this forum is so important and useful.  There are many vultures trying to separate the new and or motivated enthusiasts from our cash. I was taken early in my restoration excitement, however thanks to many great and supportive members of SAAC have learned so much from this resource.  Thank you again to all. :)

Thank you so much to all who have helped me over the years.  I could not have completed this project without all of the generous help from people on the SAAC forum.  More pictures to follow when they come back from the photographer.

This is probably a terrible question, however I can not find a diagram or information anywhere specific to1967 Shelby.  Did Shelby use the standard ford steering wheel spring when they changed the steering wheels in LA?  Mine did not have one when I removed the steering wheel, but there were a lot of things missing during my restoration.  Any help is appreciated.
The 67 Shelby steering wheel did not use a spring.

Awesome.  Thank you Bob...I knew I could count on you.

Very sad to hear the news.  Aceman63 was indeed a great source of information and always willing to help. Condolences to Jim's family and friends.  He will be missed.

It's my car.  Fate, luck or karma intervened as I found this listing Saturday evening on EBay.

I ended up winning the auction and should be en route shortly.

Thanks for the interest.  More to follow.

Jon

How awesome to be able to reunite with the original car. Congratulation!

Looking for a set of rust free FORD doors
I don't know how concerned with authenticity you are but FYI 68 door skins are attached different then 67.Best of luck with your search.

Just a question to help understand, how are they different?  What do you look for to tell 1967 from 1968?
