Hi Bill, Thanks for the pics !

Rodney ,  Are you sure the number in the lower right corner of the axle tag is a  345 and not a  945 ??

Thanks,  Tom

Yes the heads are there too and the one does have the partial VIN stamped in it. I am only looking to have the engine and axle tags reproduced by Marti. because they were missing.  All the other tags for the car are the original and still in place.

Well unfortunately the engine is currently at the machine shop so I cant post a pic but I do remember that the block casting date was 8C12
Im guessing the date would almost have to be an 8D on the tag beings that the car was finished being build on May 1st.  What would the normal time frame be for a 428 from when a block is cast until its assembled and given the ID tag ?

Im looking to see what info you guys think would be correct on an ENGINE ID TAG for my 68 KR conv. # 2295,  it was built a day early on  May 1st and its an automatic.
All the casting dates on the engine parts are between 8C3 and 8C23 and the aluminum carb tag has a date of  8 D B.

Also looking to find what would be on an axle tag for the same car. Carrier casting date is a7M21 and its a 3.50 Traction Lok

Maybe someone within a few cars of 2295 has there orig tags in place yet ?
Thanks in advance for any help or info !

Just noticed 2 small errors on the winners list here, Scotts car in a 1969 tribute not a 70 and just above that on the list the 68 Cougar I believe is a 428 CJ not the 427

Hi and welcome ! Sorry to here about your troubles. I would suggest Daniels BMW in Allentown for repairing your GT350. I know that may sound a bit odd but I have been using them since the early 90's for all my projects/repairs. ( at least 15, probably more ) I actually just finished fixing a 17 GT350 that was hit in the rear that I bought at a salvage auction. Get a hold of me if you are interested and I will set you up with the the Manager, John and Tim, the guy who has always done all my work. They actually have a Cobra replica in the shop right now that they are repainting.

I was just able to get a room the night of the 10th and 11th but not the 12th at the host hotel so had to get one at the Hampton Inn which is about 1 mile away for the Friday night.

^^^ "nothing for the 12th" = Exactly what the Double-Tree told me as well.
The lady on the phone was very nice, but said no rooms (within or not of the "block") for Friday.

Breakfast included at the Hampton tho  :)

I was told that also yesterday when I called them directly and got put on a wait list for the Friday night but today just for the heck of it I tried to get the 10th thur the 13th by going online thru our saac  link on the eblast and it went thru no problem ???? I did get a single  king however not the 2 bed.     :-\ :-\ ??? ???

You are aware that Kopec has a less than glorious drag racing career.......

Hey I was there that day ! It was around 92 or 93 degrees with a track temp of over 130 !
