QuoteDid all 68 390s have that vacuum module on the side of the air cleaner?
I think just S code 390's had the vacuum module. And then it may have been Mustang/Cougar/Torino/Cyclone.

We still get airbag recall letters for our 09 Fusion that was totaled by a deer 5 years ago.

Power steering is not required with scj, it's a stand alone option. Our scj eliminator has p/s.

I also think F150 brakes (1990ish)are 11" x 2".

QuoteWonder if the two wheels on the left are repackaged Torq Thrusts?
I don't think so. The Cragar ad lists them as being aluminum centers with steel rims. Aren't Torque thrusts one piece aluminum?

Quoteany idea on the movie/series ? looks like a primered '70 Mach 1, don't think it's a Boss 9 ?
It's from the original "Point Break" with Keanu Reeves, It is a 70 Mach 1 apparently.

This video goes through checking front ends on Cougars, but it the same principle. It also shows steering box adjustment. As stated before there is no substitute to the Ford shop manual.

The Lounge / Re: 2x4 Phenolic fuel log

Doug,
I checked with the designer of our fuel manifolds and the first thing is I was incorrect about using Delrin, we use high-strength glass-filled polycarbonate (McMaster-Carr #85665K84 is a 3/4" rod),I apologize.
The surface is as machined, with the tubes placed in drilled holes that are stepped so there is a pocket for the epoxy to encircle the tube.
We keep the temperature below 194 degrees (90C).
I hope it helps,

We make Delrin fuel manifolds at my work and bond in the stainless steel hose tubulations with Reltek B/536 two part adhesive.

The full size pans don't have the indents to clear the steering linkage like a mustang pan.

QuoteI have no knowledge or experience with a locker made in China.

   Jim ,
The locker you have is from the time where the springs were in question. Older Ford Motorsport catalogs use to show the date which had "the wrong" springs in them. I don't have one in front of me to tell you how to ID it.
     Randy
According to the 92 Motorsport catalog Randy mentioned: all motorsport lockers built after Nov. 15, 1990 have the heavy duty spring (72lbs vs 58lbs). Lockers are dated date - # /month - letter/ year-#. example - 16 M 91 would be December 16, 1991

The 66 went off going into turn 1 and the safety crew took a while getting it back on track.
