The new Shelby American 2024 GT500KR will unveiled on Thursday, April 18 at Barrett-Jackson Palm Springs.  If it is an auction for the first production unit, I expect it will go for an insane ransom.  Will you be there to bid? 8)

Maybe we can get bits of the building as souvenirs for a nominal fee (or is it phenominal?).  I had not seen this closing posted elsewhere.  So where are OVC, Shelby Licensing, THe Foundation, Shelby Enterprises and the Team Shelby folks going?   8)

Take a well deserved bow for an excellent result to a chalenging job.  Thank you for the updated version that did not lose any past discussions.   8)

That sounds about right.  It explains why all the early SAAC Does Vegas used the Imperial Palace as the host Hotel and dinner location.  After the track ownership switch the host hotel changed to a different location each year. Those SAAC mini-conventions were some of the best to have track time, see CS, check out the new Shelby American operations and enjoy a smaller but fun gathering.  But having them in the middle of winter, usually around News Years Day weekend, made it for very chilly days at the track.

After the first year that Shelby's team took over we stopped attending due to comments previously posted about the switch from SAAC operating the event. 8)

The annual event is the Team Shelby similar but smaller version of a SAAC convention with various events, shows, dinners, etc.  While it features mostly the SA cars that are the later generation, many early Shelbys attend.  Also, some of the speakers are ones that we have had at SAAC events.  At least it keeps the Shelby interest going for the newer generation.  It has never been convient for me to attend, though I have thought of it and visited the SA folks about once a year since they started up in LV back in 1996.   8)

Man, guys in the old days were pretty small, where are the XLs and XXLs..... ;D
There were no SAAC convention banquets or buffets for them to attend back then. ;D

We have about six king size t-shirt quilts made up of mostly of SAAC events and other car show and charity events. My wife made a couple of them.  The others we had done very successfully by Campus Quilts.

You can finally clean out the bins of shirts that have been piling around and enjoy the memories of those events. 8)

Up For Auction / Re: Ahhh, Lubbock we have a problem...

Must be real. There is no "Caution Fan" sticker.   Some SAAC person in Texas might know the cr as it looks that it is registered and driven.  8)

All we care about is probably which number GTH it is.  Does the value improve  due to the owner and event or drop due to the damage? 8)

When I used MCA membership X Plan, all the Ford dealers in the area accpeted iin through their fleet sales manager.  The price was noted as 10 percent over dealer Ford invoice price not MSRP. (retail).  No dealer markup and not available on limited production high performance models like Shelbys, Lightnings and such. 8)

The condition looks like that it was submerged in a bad storm for some time.   8)

My standard Mustangs are "her" and my muscle car Shelbys are "him" designations. They do not seem to mind. 8)

Walking on stilts, perhaps.
