Do you think they would be interested in being part of the Hertz/Shelby display at MCACN in 2021?

Well done, but truth is we really don't have to worry about our kids stealing our classics and going for a joy ride, none of them can drive manual transmissions, and most don't have licenses anyway!
Every car i ever had from when I got my drivers license in 1966 except the 66 GT350H was a stick until 2005, this includes a manual transmission in a 1993 VW Eurovan . When wife drove the 2005 car she almost killed herself by pushing on the brake pedal instead of the non existent clutch pedal she never drove an automatic since when she got her license in 1968. All the kids can drive a stick, but not that great, they don’t really like cars 😞😞

My kids and a niece call mine the “Rustang”
Must have been the winter driving and two trips to the Bonneville Salt Flat that caused that name

Bumping this again, still need more cars
I know they are out there and here’s a chance to be at the best indoor show you could ever show a car at.
Anyone interested ?

In the world of muscle cars the MCACN show is the pinnacle of shows. I have been in contact with Bob Ashton about a display of Hertz cars for 2021.
First do you think there is enough interest ?
Second can we can enough cars to fill the display area
I would like to get one of each of the 66 colors, (black, white, green, red, and blue) plus at least one each of the 68-69 cars.
I have already gotten a few volunteers, a rare white and blue 66Hertz and a MCA and SAAC gold winning 1969 GT350
If you ever wanted to display your car at a show, this is the one !
If you have been to the MCACN show. You’ve probably seen the Studebaker and Nash Nutz displays, really cool cars but the Hertz Shelby’s are truly unique
So do you want to be a part of history ?
Send me your information and I’ll put it together and send to Bob Aston to see if we can make it work
Also looking for Hertz memorabilia (suit bag, drink glasses, signs, tote bags, etc) to display in a locked display case.

The Lounge / The Bullitt car and 5R002

Does anyone know if the Bullitt car and “The Flying Shelby” are going to be on display anywhere?
I hate when cars are bought and then “disappear” for view

Thanks for all the updates, your ability to gather and show all of this information is amazing
I really liked the information about “Sealer” it reminds me of what I saw working at dealers in the late 60’s early 70’s
Thanks

As always it is amazing how much information you supply I really like the “Sealer” details, I saw a lot of that kind of “production tolerances” when working at the dealers in the late 60’s early 70’s
Fantastic stuff
