Up For Auction / Re: 9F03R480822 on BAT
To me it looks there at least a couple spots where there is probably total rust through, covered by some putty or some other product.

Pictures 256 and 280 are indicative of whats going on.

Its been my experience that rust is always 2x worse than you think.

There are companies like Jet Hot that will coat cast iron with various ceramic coatings to simulate a chrome appearance

Anytime you remove original parts and replace them with reproduction parts, you are decreasing the value of your car.

If you are expecting 60 year old cars to have the same drive ability, fit and finish and appearance of a newer car, you will be disappointed.

Yes, the springs effect the fitment of the hood.

Picture just sent to me, a little more than typical in my opinion

This is probably the same scammer from a couple weeks ago.

Hes going by "Andy" now.

I asked him what was across the street from the dealership and he couldnt answer.

He is still using pictures of the orange KR on his fake websites.

That car is at Mecum auctions

If this is where you saw it, I guarantee you the webpage is fake and the car is not in their possession. IT IS A SCAM.

Google that dealer and you will find their real phone number. Its a real business that has been hijacked. IT IS A SCAM.

You are not buying a GT500 for $76,000. That is 50% less than retail. Big red flag! IT IS A SCAM.

That car was originally white with a black interior. It had a 4 speed transmission and was sent to New York. I would have an original NY car inspected by a bodyman if its restored.

You should also contact Vinny Liska at vinman@infionline.net

Share the details with him.
