So I finally got some time to take out Stirling Moss' old GT350 this past weekend at Willow Springs with VARA.
It was a blast to say the least.
One thing that was so different than the more modern cars is the racing seats from the 1960's have ZERO lateral support!!!!
The only mechanical issue was the passenger side tail pipe "fell off" so I was black flagged during the qualifying lap
Great weekend overall and a great car
Long live the memory of Sir Stirling Moss!!!!

Reality check
1967 vs 2020 GT500
My 67 ran 14.5
His 20 ran 10.0

Super fun!!

1st image rotated...;-)

(looks like Brittany with Parchment?)

That '67 appears to be #01331 a BB/Parchment GT500 (not confirmed)

Yes this is car #1331  :)

I'll try and take the high road here...
Bob, I mistakenly replied to your comment when I was trying to respond to the post before yours
I am trying to close the loop with a recognized person involved with Shelby selling what was once  Jims car well after the supposed crushing had occurred.

Clearly Ray Wolfe's business card that I posted a picture of from The John Atzbach auction is legit.

The phone numbers are one and the same with the ads referenced in the first post on this thread.

Ray Wolfe advertised Jims car for sale up until October 2, 1971 in the LA Times.
So ....unless Ray fraudulently listed a 1967 GT 500 with license plate VRD 389 (known to belong to Jim Morrison) then, this is indisputable proof that Jim Morrison's  1967 GT500 was in existence and in running and driving condition three months after Jim died in 1971.

The plot thickens.....

had a hard time seeing original with the yellow box..

This looks way too clear to see the car existed post 1971....

Does anyone know if they are opening up the rev sites for the weekend at the track?
