Bob - good point - appreciate it.

I think I'm in a bit of a panic mode because we just were notified that we'll be in the F1 Driver's Parade at COTA in a few weeks and I've been procrastinating on getting all of the now metal on metal parts & pieces replaced up front.  One of these days I'll hopefully be able to harass Pete or Tim into helping me with a full on "correct" restoration, but in the interim I suppose I just need to get something that will be functional/safe (and most importantly readily available) so we're not breaking down on the back straight.  I'd prefer Ford to beat Ferrari in this instance since I think we'll be the lead car ;)

Thanks,

Chip

1968 Shelby GT350/500/500KR / 68' Vert - rear glass seal
November 04, 2020, 10:01:37 AM
Does anyone have a recommendation on how to repair the hinged joint in the rear glass?  I'm not sure if this is original glass or not so I included a pic of that labeling there as well.  Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

1968 Shelby GT350/500/500KR / Reverse lock-out pin
July 16, 2020, 01:28:33 PM
Can someone tell me if the pin in the attached photo is correct?  When I bought the car it had electrical tape wrapped around the upper end of the shifter to keep the holes plugged.  I wasn't sure if they had the wrong pin in there to begin with because it pops out easily.  Is it typical for the reverse lockout handle to rattle a lot?  It's metal on metal between the two pieces and it seems like there's quite a bit of space...

Thanks!

Morning Everyone,

I recently bought a KR with 10-spokes that has 225/50/VR15's on the front and 265/50/VR15's on the back.  I seem to be rubbing the wells pretty regularly.  Does anyone have a recommendation on the largest tires they've used that didn't give them issues?

Thanks!

1968 Shelby GT350/500/500KR / '68 KR - Clutch

Does anyone have any recommendations on where to buy replacement clutch parts?

Was curious what everyone thought about the impact to the valuation of adding A/C to a non-factory A/C car.  I want to buy either a '67 or '68 GT500 to drive on the weekends (and I live in Texas), but I don't want to impact the investment in the vehicle dramatically if I buy a non-ac car and modify it after the fact.  Outside of running the lines through the firewall and permanently making a hole are there really any other implications I should think about?

Thanks in advance!

Looks like this one is coming up for sale at the Mecum auction, but the registry doesn't have much info on it.  Can anyone tell if this car had factory A/C?

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately on the '68 I'm really looking for a vert - thank you for letting me know though - really appreciate it!

Hello - I'm in the market for a '67 GT500 (inboard) - or a '68 GT500 (or KR) vert - 4 spd / factory air - blue or black preferred.  Interested in fully restored or project - more than anything just want the base car to match up as best it can with those options.  If you or anyone you know has one please PM me.  Happy to pay a finders fee as well!
