Now with the car cleaned up you can really see the work it needs.
My car is a little dusty, so I do need to find out who his auto detailer is so
I can raise my cars value 100K

Just my 2 cents,
I can't say if all the bidding was real but I do believe some of the money was scared away
by the negative comments.  First the tag controversy, the seller stated it was likely a repro.
I tend to agree with him,. Even though the stories trying to match the evidence could not be proven.
Next the engine... is it rebuildable? or cracked or bored to the max already who knows. last but not least is
the varied estimates of restoration costs. Not a car for me. All the discussion was good at least the bidders
should have been pretty aware of what they were bidding on.  There are a few really good 66 shelby experts
beyond me on here and there should be more interesting reading.

When it comes to 65,66 or 67 original serial number tags
if you can read it at all , leave it alone.

Hi All,
does anyone know the total production breakdown of 1966 Shelby by colors?
it may have been asked before but I don't remember seeing it. It  would be interesting to know.
Mine is sapphire blue just wondering how that color compares to the others.
Thanks,
Dave

some 66 Shelby owner will be very happy!  Hope the car still exists.

The same thing goes for 14 inch tire selection and availability.
todays cars no longer use them and its not worth the cost for tire
companys to continue to produce them. This is why the molds for
them have been bought by aftermarket tire companies.

Parts For Sale / Re: N.O.S. Autolite 45 plugs
« on: August 24, 2023, 06:00:55 PM »
Not trying to confuse anyone about what these are, they are not concourse correct but the older
design with dark colored base metal and the older style Autolite font. without the star logo.  Just wanted to offer them up since the BF32's are not available any more .  Anyone interested should check their application to see if these will work.
