As of June of 1967, a '68 289 Hipo was still set for release when this information was published. Guess it was canceled shortly after by the X!

Up For Auction / Early '67 hipo block on Ebay
September 19, 2021, 09:31:49 AM
No affiliation. VIN is 7R02xxxxxx. I believe this is most likely an early GT-350 block. Hopefully someone can confirm it.

The Board Room / Re: Scammed by a sac member

He contacted me too for a couple of wanted ads I posted. Probably went right down the line of wanted ads on his fishing expedition. Thankfully it smelled too fishy to me. Also his poor grammar put up a red flag too.

Up For Auction / Re: Lighted SAI sign
April 03, 2021, 07:46:29 AM
I would say most if not all of his signs are reproductions. If you look at his description, it is very misleading to an unsuspecting buyer. People pay good money for signs that never existed back in the day or aren't even right. One example is his "Shelby America"  titled sign. From what I've read too, they're not even that well made. Genuine signs would go for much more than he is getting.

Car #60 did have a flat gas cap when Joe Bopp purchased it. I believe he put the later style cap on it when the car was painted, due to the fact that there was no flat cap emblem available.

Looking for a late '66 to early '67 original large letter Cobra S2MS intake manifold. Should have firing order on front runner and no extra bolt holes on rear runner. Slash cut on Cobra name too. Have possible trades of later '67 S2MS intake and original Cobra oil pan.

Here's one I've had for 35+ years. It's a 3509-S. Not sure if it's original, but I believe Shelby sold it under part #S7MK-9350-A

Ok, I have an original "S" blower ending in 12146 that I thought was the date code. Painted red with a red Paxton label. I got it with a Shelby air box. Could Paxton have repainted it if it was sent there for repairs possibly?
