Not overly technical but a decent 15 minute synopsis on our beloved little small block. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4CGuAaAdmQ

...and the idiot put the "engine number" (which is frowned upon here) in the description and even screwed that up!

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Re: HiPo choke cable - Original vs Repop
« on: February 22, 2024, 08:39:03 AM »
Here's another one for you. I believe the application may be for Rancheros and/or Falcons. The cable is approximately 49.5 inches long and the bracket dimensions are 1.5 inches for the horizontal leg and 2.0 inches for the vertical leg.

Keep in mind that there were a few Ford vehicles of the period that used choke cables with the same knob. Only the brackets and length of the cable differed based on vehicle model.

I have a C4OE 65 three dot in excellent condition.  It might be a little too late for you or it could be spot-on. If interested, PM me and I'll send pics.

I would think that the economic contribution from the track is huge.  The track should enlist support from hotels, restaurants and shops in the area that would be severely impacted if the track were no longer allowed to operate.

Sadly, no, the Tail of the Dragon is hours away on the SW side of the state.  Wilmington is not near any of the NASCAR race shops, most of which are in the Charlotte/Concord area. RCR is up near us in Welcome, NC.

Think this might be "Deja Vu all over again"?  Hertz dumped all their '66 GT350's on the market and now look what they're worth!

Sad news, indeed.  One of my favorites.  If he were 50 years younger and racing in today's machines, most of the fair-haired kids on the NASCAR circuit would be in awe.
