Appeals / Re: What insurance do you guys use

Hagerty also owns Broad Arrow Group (auctions, collectors garage and capital). Seems rather insideous to me.

We've had Heacock for over 30 years.  Keep in mind that Heacock is a broker. They will find the best insurer for you, depending on what you have to insure and where you're located. Hagerty seems to be trying their best to monopolize the car collector insurance market.  They're sponsoring all levels of car shows, tours, big advertising campaigns, videos, etc. All that costs big bucks and it seems to be reflected in their high premiums. I'm not so sure their intensions are in our best interests.

The expression, the "Bee-Hive" hairdo, the cat-look glasses, hand on her hip...Classic! A movie star wanna-be!

Did you check to be sure that the pin in the rear cap has been removed to eliminate any pressure on the seal?

Try Mel Perry, Mel's Ignition Systems, Siler City, NC (919) 663-2816.  He's been at it for a long time, has one of the old distributor curve machines. Tell him Stan sent you.

I know I'm "preachin' to the choir" but just be sure you don't have a fuel line fitting leak or cracked hose at the tank to fuel line or the hose from the fuel pump to the carb line.

Notice the blazer with crest and he's wearing cufflinks. No doubt he's headed for or just attended an event?

Concours Talk / Re: engine idle RPM

Drew is correct...The engine will tell you the "sweet spot".  An old trick to find it is to extend your radio antenna (if you have one), then adjust fuel and idle to get the least vibration.

Charles, congratulations on a splendid auction!  Excellent pics, descriptions and attention to details. One of the very best I've seen on BAT.
