Here is the one I have. I soaked it in Evaporust for a while, and it cleaned up nicely. It's in perfect condition, but no date that I could tell.
Not sure what it should be worth. I checked Ebay and a few other sites. Everyone seems to be asking $250-300 for them, and all the ones I saw had chips missing. This one is perfect. What's a fair price for it?

I have one that's in nice condition, but I don't see any casting date on it.

Randy is keeping busy at home for now. I stopped and chatted with him at the Long Beach Hi Performance Swapmeet last week. I told him how MISSED he is here. He said he would try to check in soon.

Ole Huell WAS a gem. Unfortunately he passed away many years ago. I used to enjoy many of his "California Gold" and other shows.
Have to agree about KK. Never was a fan and don't understand the love that so many have for them. That Donut Man looks delicious but just too far for me to travel for a snack. Philippe's is great. When I used to work in Whittier, I would sometimes take an extra long lunch so I could run over there. The BEST french dips I've ever had.

Dracula's kid drove a 66. I haven't seen this car since sometime in the mid 80s.

That thing looks like a failed abortion.

A lot of cars and trucks from the 80s and 90s used them. Of course, they're not the same as the ones used on Shelbys.
Rangers, Towne Cars, Explorers, Aerostars, LTDs and more used them. The Rangers and Explorers typically had non-finned drums. The others had the finned type. There are plenty of articles out there describing the swap. I don't remember the specifics, but I think it involved slightly enlarging the mounting bolt holes on the backing plates and getting centering rings for the axle hubs.

I thought it was a great game. Hard -fought all the way. It took all the heart Mathew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Aaron Donald could muster get the win. Any one of them could've gotten the MVP vote. I'm REALLY glad cheating didn't get a win for the Bengals. I didn't even hate the halftime show. My advice for all the haters out there: SHUT UP AND KEEP SUCKIN'!!!

At any rate kinda cool to see a team play a super bowl in their new home stadium 8)
A few years ago my son went to a Rams game. A beer cost him more than the ticket. LA being a transient city and by what we saw in their  last reg season game matchup and the playoffs with SF they appear not to have a core base than can come close to selling out games.
They have never been popular - less so now that they are back. Games were generally blocked on local TV because they didn't sell enough tickets. Even moving to Anaheim with 1/3 less seats didn't sell out. They made a big deal about them only selling out when they played the San Diego Chargers because the Charger fans would drive 2 hours to see their team play but nobody would drive 20 minutes to see the Rams.

While it's true that the Rams attendance floundered near the end of their first stint in LA, claiming "they have never been popular" is just not true. Here a few facts for you.
1. The LA Rams played hosted the first NFL game to draw over 100,000 fans.
2. The LA Rams played in TWO of the top ten attended NFL games. (Surprisingly, four of the top ten were played in Mexico.)
3. Over the course of the LA Rams 34 years before moving to St Louis, they averaged well above the NFL average in attendance (including the final 4-5 dismal years).

Yeah, a lot of home games weren't televised because "they didn't sell enough tickets." Back then, the NFL rule was that a home game had to be sold out 72 hours ahead of time in order to be televised locally. With the Coliseum seating over 102,000, that wasn't easy and no other team could've done it either.
As far as "making a big deal about only selling out when they played the San Diego Chargers," that had to be either AT San Diego or possibly Anaheim Stadium during those last few years when attendance was down.
If your son bought a beer that "cost more than the ticket," I'm not sure what to say about that. Was it in St Louis? I attended several games in LA and Anaheim between 1972 and 1994. I know, and anyone with half a brain knows, that beers aren't more than the tickets. Maybe he got the ticket free? There's no way the price of a beer was more than the price of a NFL game ticket. Anyone willing to pay that much for a beer must have some kind of drinking problem. I hope your son isn't that guy.

I believe they've been on the lots for sale for a while now. I've driven by lots and seen them locally. Unfortunately, the first one I've seen on the street appeared to be broken down. A few weeks ago I saw one on a street, at a traffic light, not moving and with its emergency flashers on.
They're smaller than the new version of the Ranger. A little more like what I would consider a "compact pickup." Aside from seeing one broken down on the street, I like just about everything about them except the front end. I really would like to get one when the hype dies down. Maybe by then the front end will either get redesigned or "grow on me." Also, due to the hype, dealers are putting massive markups on these. Yeah, they're supposed to start at around $20K, but some dealers are adding options and marking them up to over $50K. I paid less than that 16 months ago for a brand new 2020 F150 Super Crew FX4.

It's an interesting car, but I thought the early HiPos didn't get the VIN stamped on the block?
