Hello. I ran across this video on YouTube. See if it works for you all. I've tried several different ways and this looks like he knows what he is doing. He says he has a background in plastics manufacturing. I'm going to try it on my CR-V. Let me know how it turned out as I will, too! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2ZRKPshPVM

Look at the wheel flares! It is a crying shame someone or some people, modified this thing to hell the way they did. If it is original, at least it can be returned to the way it SHOULD be. These are rare cars and should be treated that way. These cars are simply not common, pedestrian Mustangs. Modify those all you want, just leave the Shelbys and Hemi 'Cudas and others like them, alone. Really.

What is the normal way people clean out a gas tank and get it prepped for gas again? A mild-ish acid? I'm sure there are products on the market that are top choices. Which one(s)?

Thanks everyone for filling me in on the 351 head info. So, the Cleveland heads are really the only ones worth using. Ok. Thanks.

I'd love to see a '70 Shelby convert with the white ex and red int. Wow.

6R07mi, I didn't know you could put 351 heads on a 289. How much hp do you think it will make when you are finished with it? Can both Windsor and Cleveland fit on that engine? What about the 351 M. What does M stand for? I was told Mitzer.

Mark, thanks for the posts. I thought I was crazy, because I only saw black and Parchment listed as interiors for Shelbys. I KNEW I had seen somewhere that stated there was a red interior for the later Shelbys. I sure wish I had a Shelby to work on. My wife would never see me, unless she hung out in the garage! I would like to buy that project that Cape Cod has, but I can't afford to make monthly payments on a $40,000. car right now. Bummer.

Mark, where is your post of your white car with the red interior. I've never seen a Shelby with a red interior. Do they have a name for this red, like they did with the white in calling it Parchment? This red interior was only available on the '69-'70 models?

Wowwww! I'd really like to have a '70 Grabber Blue 'vert. Make it a GT350 for better gas mileage. Thanks a lot, Tony!

actually did you one better, we took the motor out of a prius it gets about 98 miles per gallon...
Oh, yea! Now I can have Shelby class AND get even BETTER MILEAGE that before! Gee, thanks Tony, you're the best.

Eight Barrel, I think we have a much different idea of what restored it. Restored to what, is the question that comes to mind when I see or hear that word out of someone's mouth. I reserve the word "idiot" for people say restored, which does imply that it is restored back to, what else?, FACTORY, not restored back to when it was 10 years old and had a few mods done by some past owner. It means and it implies, restoration to what it originally was. I give you Miriam-Webster . . . "3 : to bring back to or put back into a former or original state : renew".

Ok, so your orange was a special order color in '68? What's it called? I've never seen a red interior '69 or '70. Black and Parchment were the interior colors for '68, as well?

Sorry to hear about this. He was a great racer for Ford in S.C.C.A.? I remember hearing about this school back in the early '80's, I think.

I saw video from the first week and as they were slowly panning around, I saw the burnt-out hulk of '56 Chevy 2-door. No doubt, someone's pride and joy and most likely in very good-excellent condition. I have an ex-acquaintance that bought a flooded-out '70 440 six-pack, 4-speed Charger that was hit by Katrina. It was going to get fixed-up or restored. He and his brother are big Mopar freaks and they are the ones who introduced me to Mopars, back in '76.
