Yes Randy now you are retired so you can make a nice roundtrip to meet some people. Should be fun.

Yes people like these are the heart of the hobby, people that do something with love and their passion. I think they have the same problem like we have, they cant stop and they really need to do this because its their passion.

Hello, you need a bellhousing, inspection plate, block plate, clutch, clutch fork, throwout bearing, clutch equalizer and mounting stuff for it, flywheel with bolts, starter, pedal assembly, shifter assembly, shifter plate, linkage, insulator, 4 speed tranny, tranny mount is also different, if you use an 31 spline toploader you can use the yoke from the C6 if you have an gt500. Driveshaft is different on a GT500. For the value I would say its the same as long you use Fomoco stuff.

I have no idea if its the same in USA or how smart or dumb your thieves are but in europe also the kids use jammer or something to cut the signal. If you really want to be safe with a trailer buy a tire claw or 2 these things are pretty cool and hard to remove. What is better to let the people steal the trailer with maybe your car inside or to have these claws where its nearly impossible to steal it. I maybe would make a police or fbi sticker on it and maybe a nuclear warning sign on the trailer  ;D

It´s so awesome how much knowledge is in this forum. I will measure the crank and maybe mag check it again. But yes so far it really looks great. And I think its just 0.020 down from the original ford size. Thats what I heard but I can measure that. Yes these cranks are hard to find but I want to build an original stroke 427 not a truck stroker engine. It should rev pretty good. Thanks for all the help
#247
But it should be a forged one from what I see or? And I wonder about the date stamp 67-1 the stamp looks like from production and not the rebuilder. I´m only sure its a 427 crankshaft in forged. But the rest is hard to find out. Can maybe someone post this in the FE forum for me? I dont have an account there.

some more pics, I think the guy that did the ginding etc. put some numbers on it
#249
Can someone tell me which crankshaft this is exactly? I want to use it in my 427 aluminum shelby block. Thanks

Hi Randy I want to wish you all the best for your retirement, and I think you will teach and tell us some more things in the next years. Stay active and curious. Best wishes Kent from Germany

Hello I did send an e mail back to the saac newsletter with the registry and I was asking if I maybe can help with distributing the book in europe and all the others. Please let me know if you need help on this end as I have containers every month from us to eu.

I also tried to contact David Kee over the last 2 years, I wanted to buy 10 of his toploaders for germany, never an answer
I was at Carls Shop 4 years ago. But since that we just wrote 2 mails.
Mark should be available I had contact with him some weeks ago.

But I found a guy in my search for trannys who should have what you need. I will ask him

Where can I buy a good measurement gauge to aligne bellhousings? I cant find a real good tool for that? Or what are you guys using?
#254
A 245/60/15 will fit easily all around if you have rims that have the ideal backspace. I just did an 66 with 245/40/17 all arround and there were no problems. But its all about the measurements before and the right rims and sometimes you need to work with distance spacers between wheel and axles.
