The Lounge / Re: Happy Boxing Day 2022
December 20, 2022, 09:40:44 AM
Here in the Turks and Caicos Boxing Day has become a huge event

The main street in Grace Bay is closed and the Junkanoo prefrom all day off and on with music etc

Tourists love it as the all the local foods are available for purchase as well as locals beers, trinkets etc

No politics or religion, just a fun day for locals and tourists to enjoy the time off with family and friends

and the weather is always good  8)

happy holidays to all

I walked with him a few holes at the 150th open couple ago

The dude still has some game

But just rips driver everywhere when he does not need to

Same as his life

Why have a beeee when you could have a Jack

Why have salad when you could get a cheese burger

But he talked with everyone and signed hats, selfies etc

Will make a good Santa when his golf days are done

What are flame thrower headlights

I have not heard that term used before

is it something that the early 67's would have ?

Found this the other day on Marketplace.  Not mine but seems interesting seller says located in Scarsdale, NY

1967 SHELBY GT 350 Early production.289 hipo 4 speed. All early 67 Shelby original parts, Including lucas flame thrower
headlights, hood prop rod, steel frame hood, and trunk lid, running lights on upper scoops in excellent condition.
The paint has some minor flaws, not perfect. Time period correct paxton super charger added.
The first of only 12 1967 Shelbys painted charcoal grey. Matching numbers stamped on block and transmission.
This is a very rare car and color. owner. It was my neighbors car when i first saw it in 1971. I bought the car in 1984.
The car was fully restored in 1991.

I have been looking for one of  these for a while

but in a 4 speed..... so I'm out

#25
Same with mine
When I purchased my 67 350 the original engine and 4 speed was removed
Wrapped in plastic and sits in a safe spot in the garage
Then had a nasty little 331 built from a 67 block
With a Holley sniper, 5 speed etc
Looks completely stock and no risk of damage to the original engine
Win win, with lots of Smokey tires

My original engine out of 6s843 sleeps in a closet wrapped up in a blanket on the main floor of my house.  Current engine is a roller rocker late 80s 302 that came out of a drag car.  If it blows up, I don't care.  Original tucked away and safe.

Does anyone know if there any option for LED bulbs that would fit in the same sockets
I would imagine that would reduce the current draw a lot
Make that expensive turn signal switch last a bit longer

These phase 3 GT's have been off the charts price wise for sometime
But this just takes the craziness to a new level

Very cool car, but at that price I think I will pass

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: 1967 Shelby GT350 #0001 - SOLD

What a great car,

I have also read on this site that some early 67's
had hand written numbers in the shelby tag
Being no car early than #1 I would of thought it would also get a hand scratched number

Always keen to learn more on the 67's

Cheers Gregg

I'll take a set !

as my car was originally a " caps " car I believe

those look so cool

I know it's hard to put a everyday value on these cars and not having a registry I don't know the background

But the selling price seems good for a buyer ?

Car looks very clean and seems as if you could drive it anywhere
