Attached are R-Model door panels made from stucco embossed aluminum sheet. My guess is that Shelby bought mill finish sheet and painted them, as pre-painted sheets back in the 60's was not common. Mill finish aluminum sheet was easily available in any fairly large city.

Hope these photos help.

Thanks to those who PM'd me with suggestions on what to look for! Learned a few new thing, since I have no direct experience with Cobras.

Thanks.

Appeals / Help identifying Cobra seats and tracks

Can anyone help identify the Cobra seats and tracks in the attached photos? Trying to help a friend who got these with a bunch of other Ford parts.

Thank you.

Received mine today in beautiful Port Orange, FL in perfect condition. The articles on Fran Kress and Howard Pardee are worth the price of admission!

I think I did stop by the Lola T70 they were running. Sparse turnout compared to prior years, but still nice to get out and sniff some high test fumes.

Sunoco race fuel was $9.00/gal.

Attached are a few other photos. How about a 65 Falcon!

Its got to be a repo, as I bought it in about 1990. Can't remember who I bought it from. Will have to check my box of invoices.

I've taken photos, but the adhesive splotches do not show up! I'll try later today out in the driveway. My theory is it is some type of chemical bleed from the adhesive. Only visible as you sight down the hood from different angles. My car has been painted 27 years with Glazurit (sp?) paint system and still looks presentable except for these splotches.

Has anyone seen after about 10 years being painted, a port hole hood adhesive bleeding through and being able to be seen? My port hole hood has noticeable splotches at each adhesive location bonding the hood together. These were not visible until after about 10 years in a sunny Florida environment. Car is garaged, but used often?

Another questions. Who makes the best side exhaust in 2 1/2" diameter for a 65? I'm thinking JBA but would value any first hand experience.

Thank you.

Just checked Speedway Automotive and they have the small and large letter Kelsey E70 x 15 (Goodyear Tires) for $385 & $405 respectively. I think I was able to score a 10 or 15% discount and bought my black letter E70 x 15 KR spare tire.

I made a 1/4" circular aluminum base that is shaped to the profile of the top of the door. Used a gasket as well as can be seen in the photos.

Not sure if this is what was done on the original cars, but seemed like the only logical solution to me.

Bought my spare tire for a 68 GT 500KR at Speedway Automotive, as they had a large discount available at the time.
