Hope its okay to use the word trans. Anyway, looking for pictures for if/how the transmission cooling lines attach to the block or anywhere else on a 66 Hertz car.

Also, were the line fittings installed in the radiator left natural finish or were they painted black as original from San Jose?

So, did the guys at Shelby take the dash pad off to drill all the holes or did they do it some other way?

This car has 68 quarters and a bunch of other incorrect items according to persons who know the car. Looks like it was hit hard in the rear as it has new trunk floors, taillight panel and drop offs. It has sagging suspension, wrong motor, wrong transmission, reproduction fenders. The list goes on. 

Car was never raced. Still a mystery. I will weld them up.

Bob: Agreed they should not be there. I am curious, though as I have seen other cars with similar  holes. I am wondering what aftermarket device may have been installed? This car has been off the road since the late 1970's so that is too early for things like MSD ignition. Maybe this will just be an unknown.

Bob: I am referring to the two holes in line with the washer bag bracket mount on the raised horizontal strengthening rib of the apron.

My car has two extra holes toward the firewall that are not for the washer bag which is mounted toward the front of the car. This is on a Hertz car built March of 66. The car shipped to Hertz with a two speed wiper and a washer bag and pump. I have also seen these mysterious holes on other Mustangs. Any idea why they are there?

What finish are the plugs for the upper and lower ball joints that came in the zerk fitting holes from the factory?

Yes. I mean the disc pad retaining plate. Thank you for clarifying. I changed the heading.

Looking for a NOS pair of Kelsey Hayes disc brake retaining shields that mount by two bolts to the top of the KH calipers.

These questions are for a 66 Shelby Hertz, Automatic Transmission, built 3/66

What colors of stripes were on the driveshaft from front to rear, near the rear end and what size width were the stripes?

Were there any paint markings on the rear shock support plates? If so, please describe.

Were there any paint markings on the strut rods? If so, please describe.

Is the strut rod finish bare metal?
