Does it have a 5 speed?

My advice is to sign up for the "B" group. "A" is fast drivers with really fast cars, sometimes faster than their drivers. "C" and "D" tend to be older street Mustangs and the like and you may find yourself stuck behind a Granny out for a Sunday drive. You can always pull in to get more room in front of you, but in a big block Cobra, you use up that cushion fast unless you soft pedal the straightaways.

Not an official word, just my experience.

Phooey.

The SAAC annual convention/track day is still what I plan my year around. Last year, with covid, travel restrictions and a 3 day, $1000 extra hotel bill for quarantine, by myself with no near, it was still worth it. I will keep coming as long as I can race down the world's most famous racetracks, smell the 120 leaded and hear a big block FE at 6000rpm.

See you all at Indy.

Back then it cost about $250,000. Don't ask me how I know.

Jay Leno's 427 was built by Mark Geirish of M and L motor works in Manatouic, Wisconsin in the mid 80's. It originally had a 427 side oiler, but he later installed a SOHC motor. No idea if they are still around, but I think Mark got into Ferrari restorations. Leno told me the story at SAAC 8 in Dearborn. At the time I had no idea who he was and we talked for about 45 minutes. The following week he was the guest host on Johnny Carson.

Like a time machine.

But now, let's make "The Cobra Story" into a movie. With Mathew McConaughey as CS.

This may be too late but Snap On sells a Blue Point wrench with a rubber strap that I used to get mine apart the other day. No sweat and no damage to the bowl.

Lots of awards.

No clue how to attach these pics.

Thanks everyone. Yes sir all I'm trying to convince Lisa to come to Northern California and break all the rules. I might've succeeded this morning. If so I can talk to Drew or the Park  boys etc. and get the inside poop. Hope to see you soon. If you're scheduling another cruise through the mountains I'll tell Lisa to take her Dramamine.
