Thanks for the info Gary.   I remember seeing the car at the Volvo museum in Volvo IL i believe it was painted dark blue back then.  It was a long time ago

Yes, that car started out as the only 1967 GT500 convertible built and later used as a 1968 prototype as well.

A ton of great information here on this website - http://www.1967shelbyconvertible.com/photos-vintage.asp

Thank you for the information I'll have to check it out

Hi Everyone,
A friend sent me this photo. I have personally never recall seeing it before.  Is this a photo of a 68 prototype?  The gas cap looks different
Thanks,   Dan

The Lounge / Vacuum in gas tank
March 23, 2021, 07:27:51 AM
Hi,   This may be a dumb question.   If I drive my car for about 1/2 hour to hour  my gas tank seems to build up a lot of vacuum does anyone else have this?  My gas cap is stamped vented and anti surge. Is the vent just for expansion?  Just trying to figure out if my gas cap is bad.

Thanks   Dan

March 12, 2021, 04:39:13 PM
Hello everyone,
Car show season is coming up.  Just wanted to throw this out there, if you are going to attend a show or cruise night and wouldn't mind some company why not post it here this season.  It would be great see everyone and hopefully meet some new Shelby owners.

Hope to see you

Concours Talk / Re: 1969 Shelby Radio Antenna Location

What is the proper way to mount the antenna.  Should it be mounted straight up or should it angle toward the rear of the car I have seen them both ways.

Thanks Dan

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: Factory markings?
December 15, 2020, 12:07:01 PM
I have red grease pencil markings on the underside of my hood on my 69 GT350 #0353.  The previous owner told me the mechanics used to write the mileage of when the next oil change was due

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: Cooling problems
October 25, 2020, 10:35:52 AM
I just want to make sure I have the right fan on my car.   Does anyone know the correct fan part number for a 69 GT 350 with Air Conditioning?  I'm not sure but this might be part of my cooling issue.

Thanks Dan
