I have 345 in my notes. It probably is/should be 945. Car is filed away for the winter so can't look at it for  awhile. I might have a photo of it at home but it would be a print. Pre digital era when the car was restored.

I have all the other tags info and engine parts dates if needed. The block is an odd ball 8A13 cast date with a 8D18F asm. date. 02267 is a F/B A/T car.

Original 67 10 spokes? or reproductions? Two different styles of lug nuts. Original use a shoulder with a tapered seat. Repos use a spot face with a flat washer. I do not know what the manufactures spec is but most likely between 80-90 ftlb DRY on originals and 80-100 ftlb DRY on repos. Adding lubricate would significantly change the actual torque value. Almost all automotive manufactures torque specs are dry unless otherwise noted. Do not use anti-seize on wheel studs/nuts.

I have seen very early 68's use the late 67 pan ( Nov and maybe into Dec. ) and then transition to the 68 style pan later. The late 68 pan has a different rib near the back of the rear foot wells that the late 67 doesn't have. Sorry I don't have a photo right now.

If I am not mistaken, you can just leave the sleeves off and use 28 spline axle seals instead.

Tom, Thanks. Cory, Yes I have a VCM grommet. Going by the grommet I would estimate the size between 13/16" and 7/8". Another member has PMed me with a 7/8" size found on their 65. I did a 13/16" test hole on a piece of scrap and the grommet fit but it was tight. I measured the antenna hole at the body side panel and it measures .765". It would be a real struggle at best to get this grommet to go in to that hole. Any other input still welcome as I will wait a day or two before I go for it. Thank you all.

Does anyone no what size hole is in the firewall for the choke cable? Dumb a$$ body guy welded it up.

The snorkel,s-tube and heat shield assembly have a dual function. When the car is started from cold the thermostatic controlled flapper valve allows the incoming air to be heated by passing over the right hand exhaust manifold up thru the S tube and into the snorkel and air cleaner. This helps with cold drivability issues such as stumble and stalls. It also lessens emissions. The warm air helps atomize the fuel better. Once the incoming air temperature reaches its control point the flapper valve closes off the heat shield/ S tube air and allows cooler unheated air to enter from the end of the snorkel for better performance and helps prevent pre ignition. That is how the system is designed to work on another car except a KR! On a KR with an uncontrolled Ram Air system ( no ram air flapper valve as on a RPO Ford/Merc CJ ) with the vast majority of engine air intake coming in from the ram air I would think the the heat shield, s-tube and snorkel would have very little effect on preheating the intake air when cold.
