use a new gasket. i cant recall needing any lube, but if you do dish soap and water will work. me and a friend did mine.

1967 "A" scratch on back of block, no reinforced webbing on mains. "C" scratch production didnt start until July ?? I dont think 1967 Shelbys received "C" scratch blocks. Others will know more.

Thanks Jack. my tilt would not move all of the time. After reading your post. I took a 1/2 inch length of vacuum hose and forced it over the signal leaver. It did the trick.

I am not an expert. I have been told that a Lunati #10503 is a clone and that a comp cam #265 DEH is a modern replacement. I have never used either. I hope this helps. Royce has built many engines , and will know.

I.M.M. was a great show in Saskatoon this fall with 350+ cars attending. Im booked for M.T. I really enjoy the shows. Not trailering the 68 500, driving the 19 Bullitt and do so touring after the show.

i think the original steering wheel wrap was made by superior performance products. they had a small G.T.500 stamped in material (very hard to see). Sears sold them at one time in the early 70s.

its been so long, but did other Ford, Mercury products not use the same door opener. 67-68 Merc Park Lane?

looking at a 69 mach1 and 69 torino cobra at a show today. Both were 428 scj without power steering.Did all scj come without power steering? I havent seen a large sampling of cars here, so thought I would ask those that have. Thanks in advance. :)

I know how you are feeling. Imo, I would replace the wiring in the engine compartment, the voltage regulator and solenoid with known good replacements, then the dimer switch on the floor.Or use a new harness from Pete, not hard to install.Good luck,

$=427, press in oil plugs and grooved main bearing early engine. $ is not as clear as my cranks, my mains not grooved mine ground and hand stamped to 5 (as c5--).I have never seen anything except 427 with$ but im no expert others know more. check on F.E. forum they know their stuff.
