Lehigh Valley Region SAAC / 2023 ClubMembership Renewal
February 25, 2023, 12:32:01 PM
https://www.lvpasaac.com/memberships

Happy Almost Spring!

It's time for may annual e-mail blast to cover the last 5 years of club membership and remind you that the annual membership dues are due. There are many duplicates on this list, so I apologize in advance for multiple e-mails from the mailing. I have attached both a PDF of the annual membership form, and a link to the club website page for renewing your membership. Either way works fine.

If your 2023 dues renewal has already been sent and processed, I have sent out a separate e-mailing for the memberships I have. If you did not receive that specific e-mail, then your time to renew is here.

I truly hope you will continue to be a part of our Shelby family, and 2023 promises to be another fun, busy, and important year for our club.

I will be sending out another e-mail with a report from the January 30, 2023 Club meeting, plus an overview of what is coming up for 2023, plus more club happenings and details.

May very best,

Dan Reiter
President
Lehigh Valley Shelby Club Inc.

Just fishing for input, nothing decided yet.

It's no secret, most car weekend events are shrinking. SAAC National conventions have cratered, with a drop probably reaching 50% over the years. And costs going UP to run them. It's definitely a negative proposition, and cost savings are paramount, yet trying to provide a great event.

Our Sunday Shelby/Mustang/Ford Cars show at Silver Springs A.A. is doing very well, proceeds going to Charity, it's a great event. 2023 date is Tentatively Sunday Sept 24, 2023. Mark and hold that date! This year's charity will be "Paws of Valor", a group that provides service dogs to Veterans in special need. We are looking for sponsors to help fund the show.

And, our Fall Tour is also a great time, enjoyed bay many, but thinking of moving it back into early October, so the leaves will be changing color, and it can be better organized and hopefully better attended running as a stand-alone. More options for the route as well.

I'd like to hear your input, feedback, and if you know of any events already scheduled in that time frame.

Many, many thanks in advance,

Dan Reiter
President, Lehigh Valley Region SAAC

You have to come to the North East Regional Meet and be part of the weekend event!

Harry Hurst, the curator of the Simeone Museum, will be our keynote speaker Saturday night as part of our annual North East Regional Shelby Meet. He has a new presentation with many new and untold bits about CSX2287, as well as speaking abour Dr. Fred and his passion, and we will be his first time out, so it's new for everyone.

So, it's a week away, to hear this, you have to register pronto!!! The rest of the weekend will be great as well, a super tour, car show on Sunday!

Otherwise, you will miss a very special evening.

Appeals / WTB - Replica Cobra Windshield
August 23, 2022, 08:04:46 AM
Looking for a Windshield assembly that will fit a Factory Five. Either full frame assy or just glass. Also trying to determine if all replicas used the same frame, and if it's the same frame used on modern CSX cars?

After 18 years, it's finally totally shot. Cracks, big chips, hazed over. Lived a rough life!

Welcome to our Annual Fall meet! It is the weekend of Sept 23-25, 2022.

The e-mail comes a little later, we've been working on a new website and registration process, got the problems sorted. A few of you helped us.

This year's event will again have a Friday night social at the hotel with a light fare dinner. Saturday we will again have breakfast and a fun tour going back up north again on new roads, lunch at a pavilion next to a small airport, and Saturday night dinner and fun at the "America on Wheels" museum. Hoping for a guest speaker. Sunday again is the car show at the Silver Creek Athletic Club.

Here is the link for registration on the club website:

https://www.lvpasaac.com/index.php/upcoming

I've also attached the event flyer, registration form for those who prefer to mail. Also added some of the event graphics.

We always ask for event sponsors to help us out by contributing to the cost pf putting on the event. If you have an interest, please contact us. We have varying levels.

On piece of apparel not on the form, but many had an interest is a hoodie with the event logo on it. It is heavy, dark grey, and very warm and comfy! I do not have a formal price yet, but approximate $45-$50. If you have an interest, e-mail Dan Directly. They will be available ONLY as a pre-order item.

Just curious as to it's current status.

I found the car in 1995, and set up the sale from it's original family ownership. I followed the car through a few owners, twice on Barrett Jackson, to the previous owners in Arizona. Even featured it in a magazine story in Hemmings. I saw it at Sonoma many years back.

I heard it again went through B-J to a new home, and the trail has gone cold.

I'm just curious. The car has a Local origin for me, and I've kept track of it.

SAAC-47 / SAAC-47 Popular Ballot Car Show
June 08, 2022, 08:25:06 AM
Hey all!

Starting a place to answer any questions and provide info for the show.

A quick overview is that we will be doing the traditional ticket voting for 1,2,3 per class. There will be 29 classes to cover anything Shelby and Ford. I will post them later on today. I do not have the exact location within IMS yet, but guessing that same area as last year. Waiting for notification on that.

Get there early, balloting from 10:00 AM to Noon, sharp. We want to get the votes counted, call awards, and get everyone on thier way home Pronto!!!

You must be present to get any award you win.

More details, watch this space!
