This would be useful because at times, I quickly scan the new posts and then hit the "Mark All Read" button. Then afterwards, I realize there was a post that actually looked interesting and I would like to find that post again. I usually don't recall which sub-forum it was in. I wind up searching in various sub-forums to find it or searching the title as best I can remember it. "Viewing all latest posts" gives me the same post listing as the original "Unread" listing before I marked it read.

On the main forum page, scroll down to the bottom.  You'll see a section named Recent Posts, with the 15 most recent posts. If the one you are looking for is older than those 15, click on the words "Recent Posts", and you'll go to a new page with 100 recent posts, split across 10 pages.

Perfect! That's what I was missing. I hadn't thought of clicking on the "Recent Posts" heading.
Thx!

All Posts show by default.
At the upper left of Home Page, there is a link to only show Unread Posts.
I stated my question poorly. On many other forums, if I select "Mark All Read", and then press the button to request all Unread posts, I usually get a response which says:

"You have no unread posts. You may view all latest posts instead."

My issue wasn't brashness - more of a brain fart. I divulged my admission on this forum back in 2019.

I went to the University in Laramie Wyoming where the WyoTech Automotive school is located. Some of those guys had FAST cars. Occasionally, they would hold clandestine drag races on a little used road north of town where they'd marked out a quarter-mile strip. They would post a guy about a mile away on either side to warn us via CB radio of any approaching traffic. That was probably my most radical scoff-lawery.

I've always liked the raised white letter look. That's the way we did it in the 60's and 70's. I vote lettering out.

The Lounge / Enzo in Heaven
December 29, 2023, 09:09:12 PM
In 1988 Enzo Ferrari, after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven, God was showing him around. They came to a modest little house with a small Ferrari flag in the window.

"This house is yours for eternity, Enzo," said God. "This is very special; not everyone gets a house up here."

Enzo felt special, indeed, and walked up to his house. On his way up the porch, he noticed another house just around the corner. It was a huge mansion painted white with blue trim, a carbon fiber sidewalk, a 50-foot-tall flagpole with an enormous Shelby flag, and in every window, a Shelby logo sign of every imaginable type.

Enzo looked at God and said "God, I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but I have a question. I was a good manufacturer, my cars won LeMans and F1 championships, so why is Carroll Shelby getting a bigger and better house than me?"

God chuckled, and said "Enzo, that's not Carroll's house, it's mine!"

My wife and I met Randy at SAAC-46. A cool guy and very helpful.
He organized the only drag race I've ever participated in.
(Correction, the only "legal" one.)

Our sincerest sympathies.

The Lounge / Re: Braille on a drive up ATM

I took a tour of Denver's Mile High Stadium a few years ago. I was amused to find that the Officials Locker Room includes the room number in Braille.

Might explain a few calls they made on the field last year.

OK, to be fair, all the rooms in the stadium include a Braille designation.

I'm actually a NASCAR fan, but I still thought this was funny.

I am a Shelby fan, but it is not a passion. I have a Shelby tribute and have no problem with some referring to it with apparently denigrating remarks such as "Fake Shelby". I was aware of the bias long before I decided to go down this path.

What I do have a problem with is someone attempting to place an old car, whose claim to distinction is it's having been modified at a particular location, with the oath that every Veteran has taken, pledging their life in defense of this country.

Look up the meaning of the word "Valor". In the words of Inigo Montoya, "I do not think that word means what you think it means."

They lost $3 billion for their EV unit, but earned $7 billion in the ICE group and $6 billion on their fleet business.

They said the '22 loss was expected and akin to startup investment costs. Their losses are mounting from '20 and '21 due to ramping up production and will continue to increase for a few years while they continue their EV build-out. So far, all expected results.

What's the difference between Mecum.com and Ontime.Mecum.com? My credentials for logging into Mecum.com didn't work for Ontime.Mecum.com.
