1967 Shelby GT350/500 / early nose hardware
February 13, 2024, 09:44:02 AM
Trying to decipher early 67 nose fiberglass to fender hardware realizing there are likely different used. For the sake of consistency Id like to stick to cars 1-100. It is bolt, washers and nut.
1. Bolt type , straight thread or leader tip like fender bolt?
2. 1/4" or 5/16"
3. washers, flats both sides? locks?
4. Nuts style, serrated whiz or conventional hex?
5. Probably most difficult, zinc or phosphate?
I have a lot of clues but will hold to prevent bias
Thank you!

Back to RUG S, although functionally the same a 67 S will have a C5 main case, 68 will have C8 main case. Never seen 68 with S1, 67 have seen both S and S1

Does anybody know if any interested buyer were allowed to inspect sign at sellers house or know where seller got sign from 20 years ago like the auction says?
Well, I reached out to him and wanted to go look at it because it's only about an hour away from me and got radio silence.

Initially, we were involved and going to be the ones to get that sign at any cost. However, further detective work all, but makes certain that that sign is made up. Ironically, the owner is about an hour from me and I contacted him to ask if I could come look at it personally. Radio silence that's a pretty. Good indication of what it is.

Parts For Sale / Re: Four 68 Shelby Hubcaps For Sale

Centers on these have a lot of pimples (pits). Would be real expensive and the end result would be marginal.

My last post probably seems out of context. The post I replied to suddenly disappeared

Interesting it was read as a personal attack. I think there was a lot of positive complementary advice in there for those have ears to hear.

"real world experience and insight that could be gained and blended with yours and other similar pillars of the Shelby community's knowledge to make us all more knowledgeable about the intricacies of the Shelby cars we love. It would also make for a more vibrant online community/ forum."
