Isn't one under the dash and kind of small?  Had some NOS (C7Z) once that were blue.
The overide spring on small block are typically black

54 has its original trunk lid, but it was a bit abused by the time it got to me. Good news is we saved it but my question is this. There are a holes drilled in the rear trunk  corners for the adjustable bumpers.  I was thinking early cars just got the rubber bumpers that snapped into the steel frame of the trunk lid?

What color are upper and lower clutch return springs for 350. My notes say black but that doesn't seem right

Electron makes an excellent 69/70 top. They're all my upholstery guy will use.
Electron been out of business for 5 years

Ha well my guy is pretty "old school." He also recommends Easy-On, which NPD sells.
Electron bought out by guy that used to own easy on 5 years ago. He continued to operate under electron name moving operation from NY to SC. Then after 3 years easy on his former company bought him out.

Boots should not tear unless they're old and dry rotted ? But here is good explanation what the problem really is .
There's another very likely reason. If you use the reproduction boots on the aftermarket ball joints like Moog, the metal rings are too tight and will not allow it to spin freely so the boot will turn. Every time the wheel is turned the boot twists

the workmanship expected is the same for both and that the parts used is the main difference with Division I using "assembly line" parts
I actually allow for a little more "over restoring" on Div 2 ie: more paint coverage on engine, under inner fenders/ upper side of trunk etc.
We also allow BC/CC in Div 2 as long as orange peel? We've all seen original paint metallic single stage. Its pretty yucky. To quote Mike Shally first time he saw my acapulco blue vert single stage, "this is the most accurate paint job I've ever seen, can't believe you had the balls to do it"

You also didn't say what class. Only option 1 in Div 1
Option 2 is also a option if in DIV I that is if work is properly executed.  ;)
True. If I can't tell, benefit goes to the car

Concours Restoration = super model "don't touch me"

Quality Driver = Cute Girl next door  " hey lets go get a beer"

Life is based on good decisions pick wisely    ;D
I don't get it, is there a reason you can't take the supermodel out for a beer? Seriously I think there is a misperception of what a concours car is. Yes most are trailer queens/museum pieces because people don't want them to degrade and there are those that build cars and never put fluids in or run them but a concours car is simply a car that is restored to as delivered condition (which is why I would never consider a car thats never been run or tested as complete). A concours car should be able to gas up, hop in and go and drive safely.  All the cars I own personally are restored like this and driven and every car I restore for others has same ability

I might know a thing or two about yellow KR convertibles lol. Rare? It's a KR convertible so right there it's one of 500. In the scheme of yellow KR convertibles though you've got a good color but the automatic is going to hold it back a little as far as value. You're probably looking at a high-end restored of 225 with the automatic   as far as what it will cost to get you there it's gonna take a lot more than a 20 foot shot and I'm already report. There's so much that determines cost of restoration, number one what shape is the body in as far as rust and previous damage, including the fiberglass? Number two how about original parts? Things like snorkels, air cleaners carburetors, etc. can quickly add up to tens of thousands of dollars like nothing. I always tell people if you're restoring it for the sake of an investment or value you're probably better off just keeping it as a driver but if you want it to be like a new car then that's the only way to go and you've got a good car to start with as far as desirability.
