thanks Cascade that is one of the few parts I have. TLea what are the differences in the two tube types you reference? Thanks all...
From My observations the earlier in the model year tubes have the ends crimped ( flattened ) closed and later tubes have a cap attached closing off the end of the tube. I have seen at least one engine that had one of each style tube.
Exactly. I would put changeover early-mid January

So are you saying they repainted the trunks after they added the trunk lid? Every original car I've ever seen all the trunk hardware was the same color as the rest of the trunk. If they were replacing it with a special spring I don't think they would've taken the time to blend in the paint

Distributor was different in the sense that all four-speed cars had a unique distributor and all four-speed cars has thermactor

Depending on car build there are 2 styles of smog tubes. Also is it AC car? They have some smog differences as well

I find it interesting that the Tulsa Mid-America Ford & Shelby National meet could possibly be held this June 17-21.  It appears like it may happen, with some changes, no doubt.  I'm keeping a close eye on their website; certainly says "planned as scheduled".  Check for yourself:
Food for thought, huh?  It is a great event!!
Sounds great Don but biggest hurdle for most of us is getting on a plane

Hi Alan, I don't have one but your probably not going to find 8B/C. Batches seem to go from 7M to 8D. FYI I've seen 7Ms in June KRs

Concours Talk / Re: 68 shelby brake lines- Rear

For years the parts vendors had complicated Shelby/Mustang rear axle brake lines by describing with 28/31 spline listing. Several years ago Scott Halseth (NPD)  asked me what fits what so they could avoid confusion. Very simple, 9" with staggered shocks, 9" without staggered. Now they list that way. They carry Classic Tube
