1968 Shelby GT350/500/500KR / Re: 68 500KR s-tube
May 08, 2020, 02:15:12 PM
Just to be clear the CJ and CJ/KR use the same S tube but KR had slots/holes added. Can easily convert regular CJ to CJ/KR. Ford did actually service the KR version, had a NOS one once. Early KRs modified tubes at AO Smith

Another option is to buy a 391 crank (forged steel, 427 stroke) and have snout machined to smaller diameter. One thing I've learned doing my 65 R code is good 427 parts are few and far between and when they come around you are competing with the deep pockets of Cobra owners

Looking for decent pair of 65 front buckets. Upholstery not important. Need tracks too

Kind of a loaded question where the answer could be yes or no. When the GT 500 came out that was the only FE that use the Carter two-piece pump so no Mustang application.  when it was her place with the cobra jet engine, they all had the carter two piece pump but obviously a significant number of them were Shelby's. The carter 4441S is unique to 428 Ford engines

No holes from KR, all adhesive. You say CJ emblems so not the snakes? I've only ever seen one type on 68s never the longer 69 emblems. Had quite a few late July cars in my doors (3 right now)

I probably have several used starter delays if you are looking that route. I have one nice carb but date is July 68 so probably service piece. Nice carb at good price if you don't care about date

Concours Talk / Re: glass etching stencils
April 24, 2020, 02:36:49 PM
Thanks guys for the replies. I am very familiar with process, we do them in house a lot. The guy that did my stencils disappeared (died?) and I need a new supplier. I don't want the type for sand blasting but the type to use with etching cream
