was that with open exhaust? we're using headers with pretty restrictive mufflers.

we are rebuilding the original 289 to stock specs. wondering what to expect on the dyno. has anyone dyno'd their freshly rebuilt motor and what were the numbers?

in jeffs post #35, second picture, the trunk support brace shows a typical red oxide primer that is different from the underbody. i think its possible that the underbody red primer becomes much darker with age, road grime and oils.

what was used to do the writing? grease pencil?
was the writing white? yellow?

C6AE is the part # on the round one.

when did assemblyline go from hex to round style?
