One of the reasons the club is so great is because of things like this, with just a few pictures the superb experts we have were able to narrow it down to a possible car.
I can't believe any other club has such great resources of information
Each time I read one of these posts I feel like I know more, just not as much as others
Thanks to those who contribute

Coralsnake, Tlea, Bob Gaines and a few others are the glue that hold this place together.

Was this a SAAC convention back in the day

Port Jervis NY early 1980’s show?

Yup, Port Jervis for sure.  I was there and I'm sure martyjac was too.

More Port Jervis.  Ignore the 68's.  ;)

IBM 'sold' the East Fishkill NY semiconductor chip plant to a Taiwan company, Global Foundries and gave them $1B to take it.

The Cobra was COB 6046, owned at the time by Eric Weissberg, then of Wooodstock, NY. He was the banjo soloist on the song "Duelling Banjos" used in the movie Deliverance.

Yes I remember now. Thanks. Charlie Brown was a friend of Eric's I think and was a session player who owned a 65/66 Shelby and eventually sold it to Bob Aliberto. Many years ago.

There was a great thread on Forum 1.0 about the details of originals and many pictures.  Sadly it's gone.  As I recall the contours of the reproductions do not match the originals either.

What is ballpark for this one? Looks like a fun project...

Who knows.  Would be fun to go through this car.  If you win it I want to come see it.  ;D
