Always important to write down your memories or video them for others otherwise these memories are eventually lost forever.

Forum 1.0 was a wealth of information.   Now gone too.

Without stripes would be better.

Jim,

A number of guys in the Early Ford V8 world have done it, claiming good results.  Us flathead guys are always looking for more cooling as I'm sure you know.  I had just gotten an 8BA block back from the machine shop shortly before Hurricane Harvey, which of course was sitting on the garage floor in a torn plastic bag when we got 32" of water in the house and sat buried behind a lot of my other belongings.  These photos show the before and after an overnight soak in Rust 911 (a cheaper alternative brand).  I was shocked by just how well it worked, but it did completely spend its rust removing capabilities.

Flatheads.  :)

NOS in box.  Is this a 31 spline axle?

C4ZA Leaf Springs.  The stamped part number is: C4ZA5556S.  I would need the dates to be in the range from 140 E5 to 240 E5.

Been trying for YEARS!

Steve

My 65 A code coupe has this part number but the date is 262E4.

Concours Talk / Re: Color Change on Judged concours
« on: March 20, 2019, 08:30:49 PM »
Most of the issues that are addressed about concours judging could be eliminated by having
the written rules or judging sheets available to the membership.  The owner of the car or restorer
could then be aware of issues and correct problems or at least ask questions to get to a
better outcome BEFORE presenting the car.

Every other car club that I belong to has these documents available

Sue

Are you volunteering to help with that???    :) :) :)

Who would want to volunteer with such a boondoggle?

I know for a fact, a couple of years ago someone made the suggestion to post the rules and regulations and even wrote up some basic info and it went nowhere.  That person was a volunteer and has left in frustration.

Concours is only part of the bigger problem.

The bigger problem is the club Bored of Directing.

I believe the pie plates are the same for GM, Chrysler and Ford.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I saw this at the Cleveland new car auto show and it looks great. Couldn't get too close because of the ropes.

#851 oil cooler was there. The sales guy said they could move on the price. Mr. James had some involvement.

I agree.  Looks to be a good honest car.

One more example (I will stop here).

The Lounge / Re: Helped needed with AOC!

ITS NOT AOC that is scary ITS ALL THOSE STUPID MIDDLE AGED WHITE MEN STANDING BEHIND HER in that press conference that do not have the BALLS to tell her she is an IDIOT!!!!!

A bunch of scum sucking bottom feeders looking for a free ride.

I certainly hope Doug was kidding about red necks. I left the S*** hole od So Ca. This is also in the works. It's about control, nothing more. And that Idiot Booker and Kirsten Gillibrand. Always the idiots from the Left and Right coast.

I think that you guys are worrying too much over the antics of a freshman Congresswoman. Reality will set in on what she has power or influence to do.

Believe it or not but Political Science was my thing, back in the day. What was suggested to me is that countries are governed from the middle, not the left or the right, so we really need each other to keep things together.

In my circles, I/we were always considered liberals. The reason being we always felt, give the "varmit" a fair trial, then string him up. Others said, why waste the time, just string 'em up now?  ;D

I consider myself somewhere in the middle and consider that I have friends on both ends of the extremes. They may not consider me friends but I just consider that the liqueur talking. However even if you consider me a flaming liberal, just let me say, what makes you think liberals don't have guns and can't shoot? That could be a major mistake?

As far as a lot of crap coming from the coasts there could be case made for that. Consider the 57th street BS artist in the White House now?

In NY we have an expression. You can't BS a BS artist. We get it. Don't you?

The alternative was the master of all BS.  At least we have a BS artist trying to make America great again.

Congratulation to AOC for her 'win' keeping jobs out of NY.
