Is this convertible top original?  Same question for the front seat cover?

How can you tell?

Thanks.

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / 1970 Front Spoiler ID
« on: August 06, 2023, 07:23:35 PM »
Is there a way to identify an original front spoiler for a 1970 shelby?  Were the shelby spoilers different from the spoilers on Boss or Mach 1's?

Thanks.

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / FMX Issue
« on: January 09, 2023, 08:43:56 AM »
In the past 6 months or so, my FMX doesn't want to downshift into first gear when engine/trans is cold.  I find the car starts out in 2nd or 3rd gear at stop signs when cold.  Anyone know what I can do to fix this?  Fluid and filter change?  Thanks.

My 69 GT350 Convertible survived a direct hit by hurricane Ian.   We built a new house on a barrier island in SW Florida.  Fortunately it was built to 160mph wind standard.  I evacuated for 10 days, and when I got back no damage or flooding to the shelby or the house.   Houses built in the 1970s lost their roofs across the street from me. Feeling lucky!  My house is just below the blue dot in the photo.

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / Bolt's Purpose
« on: July 09, 2022, 01:35:07 PM »
Does anyone know what this bolt with the star washer on the cowl is holding up?  See the blue arrow in the photo.  I want to remove and clean the bolt, but I don't know what it is holding up.

Thanks.

Swap Meet / WTT 1968 Upper Radiator Bracket For A 1969/70 Upper Bracket
« on: February 26, 2022, 07:07:52 PM »
My 1968 bracket is restored and includes rubber inserts.  I'd like to find a 69/70 in the same condition. Upper bracket only.  Lower brackets excluded.

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / Fan spacer correct length
« on: February 23, 2022, 03:55:03 PM »
I'm converting to a 24 inch radiator and plan to use a C8SE-B flex fan, which I believe was originally used for 351W with 24 inch radiator.  What is the correct length for the fan spacer for this application? Thanks.

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / Front sway bar diameter
« on: September 27, 2021, 05:32:52 PM »
My early car #100 finished in December 1968 currently has a 13/16 or 21mm diameter away bar.  It has a green paint daub.  Is it possible this bar came on my small suspension car?

Parts For Sale / Original '69 Shelby Hood - Restored
« on: May 24, 2021, 06:12:44 PM »
This hood was restored by Shelby fiberglass guru Dave Topper.  It is currently located in central PA, and can probably be delivered to the Carlisle Ford Nationals next week.

$4,000.  I have invested more into this hood than the asking price.

1969-1970 Boss 302/429 / 1970 Boss 302 Suspension
« on: October 11, 2020, 12:21:49 PM »
What suspension mods were done from the factory on a Boss 302 that made them sit lower and handle better than say a 1969 Shelby or a 1970 Mach 1?  I've read they handled better, but I don't really know what parts helped with that.  I know the B2 had F60 tires, but so did the big suspension 1969 Shelbys.  Did the B2s have the arning drop as well, and is that why the fender lips needed to be rolled?
