I think there are some monthly completed totals for '66 and '67's and they varied, as might be expected, based on beginning of the production series and parts to complete on-hand.

Seem to remember reading articles in The Shelby American referencing production meeting notes on Hertz cars completions.

Review of the 2011 SAAC '67 registry would probably be able to provide a good/close total by month as it lists the Shelby completed dates of the cars.

Will look... found these monthly totals that someone gathered (not me) on '67 Shelby's completed at the airport.  Guessing they got these by reading the 2011 Registry, not sure of the accuracy:

1966 Oct = 21
        Nov = 62
        Dec = 89
1967 Jan = 267
        Feb = 221
        Mar = 460
        Apr = 635 653
        May = 588
        Jun = 373
        Jul = 459
        Aug = 8
        Sep = 5
        Oct = 19

If April (the month of highest out-put) had 22 "working days" (30 days minus 8 weekend days) that equates to about 28 29.6 cars a day highest production month average per day.

Correction as per reply below - Thanks Dennis

Mine was originally Lime Gold as well....... now Raven Black.

I have heard that Lime Gold was the most repainted / changed color of that time.

It was a trendy popular color when new - 25% +/- of the '67 Shelby's were Lime gold !

The color didn't weather well, looked bad quickly, and trends change.

As Kenny Beers (RIP) was quoted saying in reply to someone's question about what was the most common color on '67 Shelby's "Red formerly Lime Gold".

The car I had was repainted a Corvette dark blue when I got it, when I redid it I put it back to the original Dark Moss Green - took me a while to get use to it.

As stated the car (#1210) was repainted the wrong color (a typo on a color reference list when repainted) and a seller was implying that it was a special order/rare color version with some doctored paper work.

There have been threads on this car and issue in the past... the first was on the SAAC forum 1.0 that imploded there is one on this forum too...

Is that MOSS GREEN??? I never saw a Moss Green that looked like that??? Were there different variations of that color? Looks more like that 70's Ford Jade Green? I will hold my other comments until more respond......

That first shot shocked me too, the subsequent shots the color looks correct.  Wonder why they didn't put the correct exhaust tips on?

Great that it got saved!!  (Car #1675)

Watched a series of those the other night on You tube after Tom H sent me an e-mail. Parnelli Jones was take no prisoners.

When dad took us to see the races at Mid-Ohio in the '60's many of the same guys were running Trans-Am and the Can-Am cars too, when they were in the Trans-Am cars they were dang near bumper cars, less power, and sheet metal - when they got in the Can-Am cars they were not banging and bumping.

When you left the track at the end of the day you where deaf - the Can-Am cars were SO LOUD!

Jeff, PLEASE don't stop what you started. This french film has stimulated the most interest that SAAC has seen in a while. This is GOOD STUFF! It helps take our minds off of the Corona virus and get us back to the stuff that we love.

For those that want to have a pissing contest, I think it should be relegated to PM's where feelings can be aired.

Please continue. I'm sure that I am not the only one who has learned from the film and the analysis of same.

...why not just buy a tire that is already blackwall?

I bought Goodyear radials for the car I had and painted the GOODYEAR molded into the sidewalls with white paint.  The letters had a raised edge so I just filled-in the middles, it takes a little time but ... I just used white latex from the art and crafts store (it was in tube) and a small brush, a rag and some water for any that gets where you don't want it, wipes off easy while it's still wet. The paint did not flake or chip off.  There is high-quality white tire paint but it is rather expensive and you need to buy a quart.

Ruben, the two cars I referenced above were both big blocks, not sure if that held for small blocks, others (Bob G) will know better.

Thanks for the image and bringing up the question...
#1184
Had to find my images of the difference Bob is referring to...

hope this helps ...

the non-air examples are on the left side of these two comparisons.  Note the extra vertical piece to direct air into the radiators (both sides) and on the drivers' side, at the top the oval hole for access to A/C fitting.

Maybe I missed it, but why is he selling off such a big part of his life? This was not just a passing fad with the sheer amount of cars and assorted items he is going to sell.
