Did the 65 GT350 with rear trunk mount battery have red lettering  on case or was it completely black?

Am I paranoid or is there an abnormal number of guests viewing member profiles?

Question for those that know. Were there any 65 S1MS intakes shipped that did not have the stamped metal baffle attached to the bottom side of the intake?

Have a 65 K-code block that needs a correct C3 rear main cap. Please PM or e-mail me at mygt350@aol.com with what you might have squirreled away.

I have a 65 Hipo engine in the shop with a hodge podge of bolts on the timing cover to block and water pump to cover. Need to find a really good set of original bolts with correct shoulders and markings for a early 65 Hipo engine with the thick timing chain cover. Don't know what owner was thinking but what's there is simply incorrect.
Please PM or send me an e-mail with pics and bolt lengths. I need all the bolts for the water pump and timing cover. Cant use damaged heads or pitted bolts. Picky, but owner is anal.

I need to find a correct wire from top of coil to center of cap for a 65 Hipo engine. Coil connector has to be the straight on design and not the 90 degree version.

Is the sector "gear/shaft" in the HCC-AW and HCC-AX (16:1) ratio boxes same as found in HCC-AT (19:1) ratio box?
Is the block containing the recirculating balls that rides on the long shaft worm gear same block as found in 16:1 and 19:1 ratio boxes?
Appears only difference between a HCC-AW/HCC-AX (16:1) ratio box and a HCC-AT (19:1) ratio box is the long worm gear that seems to have either 8 or 10 grooves with 8 groves being the quicker ratio?

Am looking for 3 things:
1. Original horn switch bezel nut for metal thread switch. Just the bezel nut.
2. Original unmolested Cobra Small Letter intake with S1MS 9424A cast into runner behind carb with firing order and PCV port. No cracks or alterations please.
3. Original Cobra 65 GT350 oil pan with correct casting number on bottom.

Did the 65 gt350 HiPo dizzy have a 10L/13L or 13L/18L reluctor ? That's the 8 sided points cam.

Looking for a unmolested Small Letter Cobra Intake for a 65 GT350. The version that does not have the recessed area below where carb bolts to intake.

I need the wire that connects center post of a mustard top coil that routes to the Hipo distributor cap. Not the small black wire from dist side of coil to dizzy base. This is the straight push on coil connector with 90 degree at cap. Gotta be really nice with proper markings, etc.

When the factory assembled a 65 HiPo engine, logical to install timing cover and water pump with their attaching bolts in place before painting it all black, Was the bare stamped steel upper alternator bracket bolted to the engine before the engine was painted or was the bracket painted black and then attached to the engine using bolts that were not painted black? Would think bracket was painted black before it was attached to engine. Otherwise, really hard to completely paint entire bracket while on engine.
Would think attaching the upper alternator bracket and then painting engine would make it more difficult to later install the alternator and spacer.
Any bolts not painted?

Anyone explain engine painting and bracket assembly sequence?

Did the horns on the 65 GT350 have a date stamp on them?

Am interested to see pictures of the bolts that connect the alum water pump to timing cover for a 65 GT350 engine. Specifically the bolts closest to the distributor at top of pump. Were they the same or was one of them a longer castle bolt with a washer?

Details, geez...

Looking for a good distributor shaft for a 65 hipo dual point.

Would someone please post a picture of the proper routing of the wires to the distributor and coil for a 65 GT350 engine?

There are 3 freeze plugs on each side of block. With engine and try-y headers in the car, is there enough room after removing drivers side motor mount to remove and replace the center freeze plug that has decided to give it up?
