You can never thank Randy enough, he's been such a great help to many of us on this site, all with never asking for anything in return.  Individuals like Randy is what makes SAAC fabulous and a cut above other car sites.

Randy, thanks again.  Doug

Doug you're going to have a lot of ''hardtop" owners sending you hate mail now. Especially those with the "Shelby drop". 8

Randy, I guess so but after having a White, Green and Red Hertz with Gold stripes and being told that never had any color than Black I think I can live with the "stripped hardtop" owners.  Cheers and stay safe.

In my observations - if one adds stripes to a Mustang its considered a Shelby.  We all know thats not true.

It's interesting a Mustang with stripes gets mistaken as a Shelby and a Shelby without stripes is mistaken as a Mustang.

Thank you all again. Another question, did some Hertz cars never have the Le Mans strips? I have not seen many that way, but by now most have been repainted.

It’s my understanding that some RED cars came without gold strips, I’am not sure if any of the other colors came without stripes.

I've been fortunate to have owned a White, Green and Red Hertz cars.  Each one was and is great and the only comment I get is that it's not a real Shelby because all Hertz cars were black and gold.  We here all know the truth.

Comments and observations: The Green one received the "elegant", vote the White one "was missing the blue strips" and the Red on was considered the best looking and receives the most attention.

I personally like them all.
