I don't want to be too harsh but is Mecum
the sleaziest auction company or do others
deserve that title? Truly sorry for asking.
T

Why ask if you're truly sorry!? Lol

Can you explain why you say this about Mecum?
I'm asking since this is my first time at any big auction let alone having a car go through it.
I have a buddy who does a lot of Mecum auctions and is running 45 cars thru Kissimmee currently.

Regardless of how my car does, I'm glad I came to experience it.
Running a production like this in my eyes is a big undertaking but they do it often so they
have it down to a well oiled machine it seems

Some of the collection cars are pretty awesome!

historybuff,

Thanks for the info.
I'm not on site yet but will be Sunday afternoon.
I'll try to get some pics of the road art on Monday.
Is there specific pics of pieces you want to see?

shelbymann1970,

As we know it's all part of the marketing and "alure" of the stats report from Kevin.
If he can break it down to 1 of 1 he will so when the avg Joe gets their report they are "wowed"

Thanks.  I do agree often people don't read the stats info correctly.
I had Mecum update mine to read correctly but I didn't notice it till you mentioned it :)
The info I originally sent them is how is reads now.

Kevin needs to send out a reading comprehension test to people with those reports

Pete, is there a car you're referring to specifically?  I've asked the website team to update details for the wording on the 67 K code.
They edited the info I gave them originally and it's slightly misleading.

Did I miss the '67 K Code fastback that I thought was on site?

It wasn't included in the list/links in the OP since it's not a Shelby.

The car was restored between 2006-2012 under prior ownership.
It looks like it was just finished yesterday.
It's lived a super pampered life since then, never seen rain.

Thanks all.
It's the only 67 K code 4spd Fastback made in dark moss with parchment deluxe.
For all the Mustangs I've had over the last 30 years it's the nicest. It's too nice for me to enjoy the way I like to!

In case anyone is looking for one or knows of someone looking for one.

It is my car, if you are a potential serious bidder and have any questions please send me a PM.  Thanks

Cool car based on the factory specs. It'll be a labor of love for the next owner...hopefully!

These scammers are NOT untouchable.  You just need to find the right people to work with.
Obviously each case is different.
About 8 years ago I was scammed for a deposit, I think $1000.  Found out others were also scammed and we combined forces.  PD in California found the guy and he went to jail.  I know CA has their issues bit I was extremely impressed with the detective who handled the case.

If you have been a victim of fraud send me a PM.  There are options and people with pull who do want to help take down the scammers.

I'll be there the 2nd week with my 67 K Code Fastback going across the block on Thursday the 12th.
Have never been to a big auction so I'll be getting the full experience!
