It is my understanding that hardtops got comfort weave, and convertibles got vinyl, with some exceptions for very early cars.  What do others say?

Yes, I meant to say $150 each. But I also might have $75 in my other 2. Of course I am talking yrs. ago prices.
Don, did you buy those hubcaps at $4000? If so ,I need to sell you some parts.HaHa
68 hubcaps are not a rare part.
Brad

No, I wasn't the buyer, but someone did pay the price.  There are a surprising number of used caps out there; plenty of those aren't worth saving.  You might have to mix and match several to just get one worth the restoration costs.  I have tossed some in the recycler bin.  Even some NOS caps have issues.

The last boxed set of four I am aware of that sold on Ebay (a few years ago) went for a little north of $4,000.

Congratulations, Bill.  Great story.  I have the pleasure of being acquainted with you and your car.

I wonder what CDs Ken Miles liked listening to on the way to the track.

Cool vehicle.

Really?  At that time, there weren't CDs.

I had a folding center armrest on a bench seat.  Not very cool, but other advantages won out.

What is left has some nice original parts: ashtray with knob; lid in pretty nice condition with hinge; I'm guessing that lid will have its original latch pin parts, too.  Does it still have the felt storage bin along with the light lens?

Why it was cut?  Who knows.

The Lounge / Re: Vacuum in gas tank
March 23, 2021, 05:48:12 PM
Many years ago, as I assisted a friend fire up a fresh 289 just dropped into the car, he had installed a new (then Ford) gas tank (and a little gas), but left the plastic filler neck hole plug in place for the time being.  The Ford fuel pump pulled enough vacuum to buckle the bottom of the new tank.  That fuel pump continued to work fine later.

Who was the dude in the black hoodie??? ::)  He seemed pretty knowledgeable about the Conelec fuel injection though. :)

TOB

Only Mr. Peter Disher, aka Coralsnake; the visionary to pursue the Conelec legacy.

Yes, just a glimpse but all three are shown for a bit.  Think about it....all three, still with us and in good hands.

screen shot of BJ website showing documentary times different than Pete's; don't know why this is??
We will have to be nimble to catch the exact time.
