The few times we visited, I addressed him as, Mr. Williams.  He would smile broadly and express his appreciation for hearing, Mr. Williams.

Some years ago, I used a spray bottle product called Esprit wheel cleaner on bell housings and it worked great!  Found it at the auto parts store, but a search now doesn't find it.  It had some acid in it, for sure.

You are probably right, Pete.  A brow isn't distinct; neither are pedestals.
Although earlier cars could remain in inventory a long time, sometimes well into 1969.
