I hope a couple of the good guys here dont follow this off a cliff. Reputations and careers could be ruined if the charades continue. A few friends banding together to make some coin does not make a car, from something that is missing its most critical components. Better nip this in the bud before it turns to a full on turd show. :-[

Parts For Sale / Factory Original Cobra windshields
November 08, 2023, 04:45:21 PM
Helping a friend out with a stash of parts he wants to find a good home for. (4) Original COBRA windshields 1 of them is new and never mounted with a sticker AC COBRA England on it, one appears to have a rock chip in it and the other 2 seem to be in good shape with plastic wrapping around them. Looking for someone that can put them to good use. I dont know what a fair price is but if someone wants to PM me or discuss further let me know! Thanks in advance! :D

If someone goes FULL PINNOCHIO and his friends swear by it also, does that mean it is the facts/truth? Credibility of all involved will be tested on the recreation of this car... Will be interesting to watch how it plays out! :-[

Maybe a modified 66 Mustang? No 66 Dash mounted tach, 68-69 GT wheels, aftermarket hood... Best of luck in finding it!

Here we are Halloween 2023..... After a long slumber decided to take it out and stretch its legs today. I was looking for more of a treat, and other then a dead battery that was my sort of trick for the day. As the Hot summer winds down and leads into beautiful winter days out west a more focused driving enjoyment can be had. A few more things to assemble but mostly complete car, to relive the way it was back in the day! ;)

Looking Back / Re: SAAC 3
October 24, 2023, 09:05:20 AM
I was there that weekend. Followed Lynn P - Tom F and and Tom Mc to the track, and could sense the enthusiasm of the event. I asked my Pops if I could go out on the track that morning... and Tom Mc said sure why dont you ride with me. A couple of things stood out to me from so long ago was when I got in Toms 427 SC he had a camera with a foot long telephoto lens on it sitting in the passenger seat and said here hold this and dont let go! As we were entering the track he did a long full throttle Burn out /Blast which pitched the car sideways and took everything I had to hold onto that camera without pitching it onto the track at a very high rate of speed. We were near the front of the pack only a car or 2 were in front of us, if my memory serves me still it was supposed to be a non Hot Lap event but that went out the window after a lap or two. I asked Tom how fast were we going? He said about a Buck sixty/seventy!!! I remember VIVIDLY passing the area where my Pops was sitting inches from the wall thinking what is he going to say when we get off the track. He was GREEN and didnt look well and said thats the last time you go on any high speed runs again! From that moment so looong ago I was bitten by the entire aura of Speed and Beauty of all things that are SHELBY AMERICAN..... GOOD TIMES!!!!!

Sled you have mail... Thanks

They both work just fine for normal driving, with some performance driving thrown in for some excitement, whatever that means. The benefit from running the standard pump from the Hipo pump is it will keep an additional 300-500 dollars in your wallet if that sort of thing matters.

I would lean more in the direction of BAD CO... Literally and figuratively! Love the vintage rock groups, not the 3rd grade mentality of Frank and some others at Mecum/Clowns  :-[

I run Vintage Hookers on 4 of my Big Block cars, The numbers are 6111- 6113 if memory serves me right. The difference is between my 427 Fairlane and my 427 Shelbys. They are tight fitting, you cant install them on the engine and drop it in that wont work. You must either drop the headers in first then drop your engine in or engine first then wiggle jiggle the engine from side to side to get them in place. Then you must begin one of the most grueling tests of will power and patience you will probably ever experience. You must have a GREAT selection of tools from sockets, extensions, open end and box wrenches. Then call up your grand kids or friends with Baby hands not Bear Paws like mine! You will get there or pay a nimble 25 year old to install them, it might be money well spent!
